We live in an age where all professional services are being displaced by an App of some sort. Too often the travel agent, the wedding photographer, or some other service is completed by a ‘professional’ who really is just an amateur is holding an iPhone. The thing with amateurs with apps is that they never do as good of a job as a professional with professional equipment. Emerald Owl Productions is a great reminder of that on the DJ side. I had almost forgotten how a good professional setup managed by a great DJ can really turn the room around. The last three parties I’ve been to, there was just a few people on the dance floor and some light lighting. At the family friendly 80’s dance party put on by Emerald Owl, nearly everyone was up and moving all night, and the light show was amazing! I especially loved the laser floating ceiling that was constantly changing to the mood of the music. My 4 year old danced herself into utter exhaustion and she wasn’t alone! All in all it was a great reminder that sometimes you get what you pay for, actually we got more than we paid for in terms of value. The 80’s dance party was worth the money to us as a family and I’m sure to everyone else who went. Can’t wait to go the next time they put on a show!
