Brilliant local optometrist with a very warm and friendly atmosphere. Nothing is too much trouble and helped to get glasses delivered before a big trip. Cannot day enough kind words for the help Sam and the team went too and fitted both our kids glasses as well. Great little village area on Bethnal Green and local business. Absolutely fantastic service. Very friendly staff who make you feel so comfortable and relaxed. Also very accomodating. Samir was happy to wait for me until i got to the shop to pick up my glasses as i was running late. Little gestures like that go a long way. In addition, the personalised service was amazing. I didn't know what type of glasses would suit my face but Samir gave me time to try on glasses and knew exactly what glasses would look good on me. The frames are reasonably priced too. I'm very happy with my purchase. I wouldn't go anywhere else now after my first experience here. I think i'm a lifelong customer at Eyes London now. :-)

My previous opticians were good and I had been with them for over fifteen years. Having said that, I wasn't comfortable with certain aspects of their service (e.g. their approach to selling designer frames and unnecessary costly features). Anyways, it’s had been a while since I went for an eye test, and my work place was offering one for free! It happened to be that my current provider weren't registered with the scheme.So I looked around and came across Gore Opticians. From the very first call to getting the new pairs of glasses, they provided a thorough, professional and excellent customer service. They were flexible enough to book me an appointment with short notice and kept me updated with text messages. I would highly recommend Gore Opticians at Roman Road.

Really helpful, friendly and personalised service. The quality of my glasses are excellent and have been provided at a very reasonable cost in comparison to the big chain opticians . My optician also very kindly delivered the glasses to my house whistle passing through for a home visit. Couldn’t have asked for anything better. Thank you .

It was the first time I had an eye test and the whole journey, from making the appointment right up until the conclusion of the eye test, was great. Ashley, the optometrist, was lovely and even though I had been told I had perfect vision, if I needed to I would buy glasses from here after seeing the service while I was waiting for my test.

The Optometrist (eye doctor) was friendly as with any optometrist. However, after my eye test were done, the service and treatment that followed was horrendous!I was entitled to a voucher from the NHS to have any glasses costing below £50 free but given that this was my first experience in the opticians as it was my first eye test I was clueless. I remember the optometrist informing the two women at the desk that I was eligible for the vouchers but I had no idea what this meant and they ended up charging me full price ( I was in college at the time and was financially independent and so the hit hurt more). The range of glasses available were awful with the half decent looking ones over priced ( I later looked online and in spec-savers who had the same frames for 60% of the price).I wasn't given my prescription and after having chosen an awful frame (to save money) I was told to pay and collect the next day which I did. 2 years later I had to go for a re-check and I purposely avoided this place. Instead I went to Spec-savers in Bethnal Green. The ads are right! - "you should have gone to Spec-savers". The service there was amazing in comparison to Gore Opticians and here are the reasons.1. SS informed me of my entitlement to the NHS voucher, explained what this meant and showed costs of frames before and after.2. SS had given me the eye test on the day of walking in, contrast this to Gore which had stubborn appointment dates 3 days of the week3. SS provided me with a full break down of my prescription and let me keep the original copy4. Throughout the service they had different areas. For example, intro area, eye test, choose your glasses (wide range with even online selection) and then they even had a professional to adjust the glasses so that it sits comfortably on your nose and ears5. They offer a second pair for half the price of the firstIn conclusion, "I should have gone to Spec-savers" in the first place. AVOID GORE OPTICIANS!!
