TO MY LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS, FIREFIGHTERS, CORRECTIONS, AND ESPECIALLY OUT OF STATE PEOPLE AVOID THIS PLACE! I am current Law Enforcement in the State of Florida and former in NYC. I came to this place in 2018 because of the "good reviews" and at first I thought these guys are pretty good and honest! I had a lot of withdraws from my retirement accounts, 414(h), union accounts, etc. when I left NYC and became LEO in FL and these guys tell me they can handle it all. I was assigned to Jorge who by the way is a complete waste of space in that office. The type of guy to make mistakes but point fingers to avoid taking blame for it. AVOID THIS GUY! Anyways they filed everything and less than 3 weeks I get letters from NYS Dept.Of Finance telling me that my NYS refund is on hold. I call and speak to the owner who tells me he will take care of it all and any penalties, etc. he will take care of. 2 weeks later I get told I am getting less than half of what I was told because the guy Jorge made errors. Since the owner fixed it and was honest I gave them a 2nd chance and even went back in 2019 and gave the same guy a chance. In September 2019, I receive another letter from NYS Dept. of Taxation saying I OWE ALMOST $500 because I didn't include certain things. You would think these people at the office would call me to come in knowing they messed up....NO they wait almost a week before I go in only tell me that they have no idea why I got this letter and will find out but I am still responsible for the payment and they will take care of the interest. The guy Jorge who made all these mistake tells me to think of the money given in 2018 as an advance but know I have to pay it back......hahaha lol and this guy is supposedly licensed in FL. He's an idiot lol. So anyways I had called NYS myself and the people on the other line tell me I should have never received any money back and the people who did my taxes took a lot of shortcuts! This place is very expensive and they talk about honesty, god, etc. but couldn't be honest and tell me that they could not do my taxes due to lack of experience. And when they made mistakes, instead of taking the hit and fixing it they expect me to take care of it whatever way I could. Again if your from out of state(especially NY) or fit into 1 of the categories above then avoid this place and save yourself money, time and the hassle.
