I would love to thank the entire staff of the freeport fire dept. They helped me get my Christmas present out of a tree. Husband bought me 2 macall parrots for Christmas. One flew off and was lost 6 days in the cold and rain. The chief kept watch as people in the area would call in when the bird would land in a tree in their yard. Screaming as she thought her mate Mckensie could hear her distress calls. The chief climbed a tree to retreve our baby her name is skittles. She only flew away to no prevail the crew with the chief tromped through the woods calling skittles she would answer them. after a call from alaqua came down to a locals house and bought their bird in a cage . We were sitting at home when there was a knock on our door . My super hero was back the chie f had found our bird once again. Thanks to him I had Christmas . When they left and everything quited down I was busy praying for my bird to come home . IT FLEW DOWN to marc my husband . This was the best Christmas I can remeber. Thanks city of freeport for having such a Great fire dept. We were new here but not anymore our birds and us found a community committed to helping others. you go boys
