Great Lakes Video service has converted our entire family collection of 8 mm reels to DVD over the past 15 years and we couldn't be happier with the results! What started as just a few home movies has turned into an entire ensemble of all of my families most treasured memories - which included 4 large reels of hunting trips from my Grandfather, 16 medium size reels of family times at the beach and pool and many small reels and VCR to DVD transfers, in addition to a video montage of old slides set to music, all done perfectly!Niki is a pleasure to work with and always returns everything just as it was received in addition to the amazing finished result. I would never go anywhere else and will continue to use Great Lakes Video for all of my video needs!

They were able to take my Hi 8 camcorder videos and put them on DVD and the quality is excellent. I tried two at home software programs and was not able to get any kind of good quality with them. This is definitely the way to go don't waste your money trying to do-it-yourself.

Great experience. Been wanting to get all our parents 8mm, all our VCR home movies onto disc for years. Also had 1,000+ 35mm slides. We had the slides in projector trays which I dumped out and sorted down to about 250. Nikki took the time to put them all back in chronological order which I could have, should have done by putting them in plastic bags by year. The editing was perfect, saving what was good, discarding the bad. The cost was very reasonable, their promised finish date exact. Such a relief having it done, locally, with such great personal service. What a treat to view all the movies/pictures on our TV with our family.Do it!
