Helinet is a trusted partner of ASJ and a highly experiened helicopter charter company in Southern California. Brady and his team at Helinet are second to none. Very professional, responsive and they have the finest fleet of choppers you will find anywhere.

For those with concerns as to how or why a helicopter can or may fly lower than fixed wing traffic in your area, please understand it is recognized and sanctioned in most cases by the FAA.In summary, Part 91.119 of the FAR contains 4 general paragraphs concerning the flight altitudes of aircraft. Specific to helicopters will be paragraph 4, which in short states helicopters do not have to abide by altitude restrictions unless specifically prescribed for them.Helicopters are often chosen for their unique ability to do what planes cannot....which is to precisely maneuver and/or hover in a given area for a multitude of reasons. Hence the need for helicopters to operate separately from general FAA fixed wing regulations.

These guys fly very low over the tops of Sherman Oaks and Studio City residential neighborhoods. They claim they're following prescribed flight paths but when you contact VNY, you are told the helicopter pilots can fly at a higher altitude but they choose not to. Plus they completely ignore the voluntary curfew on flying before 7AM because...they get paid money to violate the curfew so they just don't care.Helinet Aviation is an inconsiderate neighbor and should be boycotted.

Unfortunately, this company has difficulty with following flight regulations and standards. Myself and several associates will be filing an operations report with the FAA. We are disappointed as this used to be a great company.
