While I cannot speak for the experience of shopping at the store in person, I would not recommend to anyone to shop via their website. I ordered a book I needed for a class and they charged me for it without giving me the shipping quote. The next day they asked for the shipping which was just as expensive as the book itself, so I wanted to cancel the order. They were able to reply quickly to ask me to pay for shipping but took much longer to respond in regards to cancelling the order and refunding my money.I didn't receive any communication from them so I simply opened a claim on PayPal so I could have it resolved quickly. My money was refunded but someone named Mike felt the need to say "A little hasty to launch a claim/complaint don't you think?". This is very unprofessional to me as a customer because I needed that money refunded and couldn't wait too long to be able to get it back. I've never seen a website that makes you pay for an item but doesn't display and attach the shipping cost with it at the same time. Don't order from HollyNorth online unless you want to get slapped with a big shipping fee unexpectedly and then ridiculed by their staff when asking to cancel the order and get a refund.

Professional-oriented store but a great resource for hobbyists, and very friendly staff. A lot of hard to find supplies there for great prices. Much better than trying to shop online for the same stuff, in Canada anyway.

First and foremost, HollyNorth is a business that caters to a specialist industry, so they're not exactly geared towards the general public - you're going to HollyNorth because you know what you want and you know that they have it.With that in mind, I have found HollyNorth to be a pleasure to deal with for years. Friendly staff who know what they're doing, pro6 know what you need and happy to help you out. And that's the kicker there - happy guys in this industry usually means that you are doing it right ;-)
