A small office with a BIG ATTITUDE PROBLEM! The bad attitude is learned from the company owner who's not professional in her conduct nor appearance at the office. If you decide to further your medical career elsewhere, THIS COMPANY WILL TRY INTIMIDATING YOU INTO NOT LEAVING THEM FOR ANOTHER IN HOME CARE AGENCY.Scheduling Department is a revolving door, have personal vendettas against any Caregiver who sticks to their guns in terms of their availability & areas they can cover. Payroll is also inexperienced and mess up paychecks multiple times & each time you will have to wait an additional 2 weeks to have it corrected(KEEP A COPY/SCREENSHOT OF YOUR TIME SHEETS , HOURS WORKED, & MILEAGE SHEETS!!). The "Educational Department" as they call it IS A CROCK! You get pushed through the training with answers given to you, and CPR certifications don't actually get processed & given out, even if paid for by the Caregiver (don't expect a physical card or a refund either). Once out at clients homes, you will be lucky to get 2-3 hours of training with another Caregiver then you are on your own! Be expected to TRAVEL from 50 to 100 miles a day (THIS JOB WILL RUN YOUR CAR DOWN) just to get hours and fight for travel/errand pay owed to you (Scheduling Department likes to stagger clients so the company doesn't have to pay travel time). Most, but not all clients are great & they are the only reason why so many caregivers stay with the company. Clients have had narcotic grade medications stolen from them, home care logs left blank or vaguely filled out, making it hard for another Caregiver to know what's been occurring to the client mentally/physically, and many clients have been inadequately staffed several times a week. Background checks aren't ran unless something happens with the caregiver or to the client! HOME HELPERS-HOLLIDAYSBURG, PA TOOK ON TOO MANY CLIENTS & CAN'T KEEP DECENT CAREGIVERS EMPLOYED LONG TO CARE FOR THEM!TERRIBLE PLACE TO WORK AND/OR HAVE YOUR FAMILY MEMBER A CLIENT WITH.
