The cops in Johnstown are a joke! I was pulled liver due to my license plate not being on which I completely understand that was my fault but I didn’t know it wasn’t on a week or so previous my brother t-boned someone in the car I was driving and it flew off. I was with my boyfriend (passenger) and my friend who was behind my seat. Collin came up to my window and started questioning me and another cop came up the other aside and started questioning him as we’ll even though they pulled ME over they should be focused one ME not who I’m with especially if it’s over a license plate. Collin then asked what was in my car I was in the middle of telling him that I had a stun gun and mace in my car and he interrupted me mind sentence to say “you gotta little weed” then after I said no and finished my sentence he walked to the window behind mine and said to my friend “are you sure you don’t have any weapons in the car you glanced at that bag” then my boyfriend responded “you can check that’s my school bag” and that was that. I’ve also seen Johnstown cops turn on their light to get around traffic a specific example of them doing this is when I was on my way to work I was headed towards Kroger on 62 and the cop was headed the opposite direction the cops turns on his lights gets around people then they turn down the road villa and subway are on and turn off their lights and act like nothing happened. They also seem to have a problem with following people for no reason. On my way home from work a cop pulled out behind me so I turned down a road they also turned down that road and followed me until I pulled into a driveway and not even 5 minutes later I passed the same cop with someone pulled over. The cops in Johnstown get bored and will find any reason to pull you over.

I feel and think the Johnstown PD are shady and unprofessional! It's like mall cop security. Between JPD and Licking county in general is an absolute joke! They do not practice Ohio law period! They should be ashamed of themselves! Clearly there needs to be a whistle blower on their legal and lack off practices. This isn't how things are run in Franklin county or with CPD! It's different strokes for different folks! I will be contacting local news stations to hopefully ignite a formal investigation within the JPD and Licking county courts!
