We had an outstanding experience with K. Hovnanian as our home builder in Hanover Estates. The process from start to finish was impressive and turned our initial concerns of picking a home builder into a confident, well-informed decision for placing our family's home. Here are a few items that stood out most to us, from our experience:- Prices of the homes are outstanding for the area, without compromise in craftsmanship and quality of the home. The community is within 45 miles of Chicago (3rd largest economy in the U.S. and 8th largest economy in the world), yet there are impressive floor plans that start in upper $200 k's. Large, spaced out lots with plenty of available design options, all up to the buyer on what fits best.- While in the research phase of the home buying process, the two on-site model homes give a great glimpse into the builder's capabilities and design options (really cool design studio to show what's available!). You can interact with a touchscreen monitor that displays an overview of the home building process, highlighting the careful attention to detail in build quality, energy efficiency, and how Khov stands behind their work through included warranties... all of which instilled more confidence for us.- The sales staff was knowledgeable, honest, and didn't display any "pushy"/"shady" tactics. They were there to answer all our questions, while still giving us space to make our decision. They let the builder's quality work speak for itself and that is one reason that led us to picking Khov.- During the building process, the construction manager did an awesome job of keeping us informed, having on-site meetings at various points of the construction's progress, and showed genuine care that the quality of the home was top-tier. Knowing this home is where we will start our family's life, the sincerity of the building team was a special component for us that we really appreciate.- Community is in a great location. You get some "breathing room" from suburbia while still being close to top schools, have convenient shopping within 10 minutes (rt 30 has tons of nice grocery options, food, and shops), and transportation (i-80, i-355, metra, etc.).Overall, we recommend Khov as a builder and the community as a whole as a worthy investment!
