Awful experience! I called and spoke to someone last week to see the apartment. I asked to see Tremont place and Sheridan Manor. (I wanted to see these 2 locations before I make a decision.) I was greeted by Carly at Tremont and she was friendly, she Wasn’t too familiar with the policies as this wasn’t her property that she manages. She then took us to Sheridan Manor and this unit was perfect for me! I was excited I had told her that I’m from NYC and have a job here. I filled out the application, we offered to give the full deposit and application fee, I told her I have been approved by 3 other complexes in the area and she asked if I had a copy of my credit report so not to hit my credit again, she confirmed just a soft hit and I don’t have my credit report from the other companies. About an hour later she said I need to submit paystubs. My paystubs show that I make more than 3 times the amount of rent and utilities, after I send the paystubs I was declined and needed a “local” co-signer. This was not advised earlier when I told her that I’m from NYC. Over the weekend I’ve requested to get a copy of policies and my report. As part of the Tenants Rights I am allowed to see my report, they sent it over. They don’t do a credit score report, but a credit rating through Experian. I don’t have any delinquent reports, and as mentioned my income is more than enough for the requirements. So today, my mother co-signed for me, they wouldn’t send my mom the application without me paying the $20 app fee and the deposit. I paid immediately then sent the form. Then I get an email from Amy/Carly that’s says: “Bad News... we need a local co-signer” I call and explain I’m a recent grad from UB my family lives in NYC, they explain if they have to serve papers must be local. I asked to be refunded my deposit and she did. Ultimately I’m very concerned that I’m not being treated fairly, and I don’t know why... is it because of my name, my age, my skin color? I have contacted the Fair Housing Authority, Buffalo Housing Authority, and HOME. The worst part is Amy and Carly, you can hear them gossiping and snickering about this while I’m on the phone. Very bad experience. If you have blond hair and blue eyes you shouldn’t have any problem renting here.

Feedback:

I've lived here for two years and the only reason I'm leaving is because I'm moving out of state. They are always wonderful as far as response when you have an issue. They would come in to make repairs to whatever it was whether it was a light switch or my refrigerator. Thank you KD for accommodating!Based on previous reviews my rating may change after I move out though. I've had issues in the past that we dealt with and I keep my home clean. I've never lived in a place where I didn't get my entire security deposit back, so I expect the same in this situation. They didn't even tell me about how or when I'd be getting my security deposit back and I still expect a follow-up on that.

Excellent care and service! Thank you KenDev

Feedback:

They are across the street from me. I submitted to their website when a tenant of theirs threw garbage on the sidewalk in front of the apartment building. Their response was to tell me about other people throwing garbage into their dumpsters as if that some how had anything to do with their tenant throwing bags of garbage on the sidewalk. This sucks too, I really wanted to move into their buildings once my lease was up. Watching their maintenance people and tenants throw garbage in the street rather than putting it in their own dumpster tells me they don't really care, but are more for making it look like they do.

Feedback:

I appreciate your quick response to our maintenance needs. Your service is excellent.

Feedback:

Lived at both Kenmore Development's Delaware Park and Ralston Elmwood Apartments. I found both properties clean and well cared for. Maintenance was fast and efficient.

Feedback:

Not worth what they charge. Have had centipedes, ants, fleas and beetle infestations and water damage. Find a newer property.

Feedback:

Stay away. Beware of Amy . if only I recorded her. Very old apartment . Carpet ? Read your lease. You will be charged to clean that disgusting carpet.

Feedback:

The building and my apartment at 4 Jewett Pkwy we're ok but when I left they took about $300 of my deposit and several of the charges (about $50 to clean tub which I had cleaned pretty well) were unexpected and not listed anywhere. Maintenance and staff was attentive but beware of this place if you expect your security deposit back.
