Darren interviewed me back around early 2014 for a Web Design internship before he had a solid team behind him. In my opinion he was very professional, he even let me use his mac book to showcase what little web dev skills I had back then. In the interview I had a ton of passion for tech but no skills as I didn't even know what a <meta> tag did and I thought WordPress was for newbies who didn't code. Obviously, I didn't get hired on and after learning on my own for an entire year I totally understand why.To sum it up Darren is very passionate about his craft and you have nothing to lose discussing your project with him.
