First time ever going to a live auction and I was quite impressed. Everyone was very helpful, and very clear communicators. The environment was fun and low stress. This made me look forward to returning.

I tried to register to bid with them (with a secured credit card no less) and they turned me down and said I could not participate without "references from two reputable companies with whom you have purchase history. Please forward paid receipts from recent purchases that we may review." Needless to say I was really disappointed and will look at other auction houses in the future.

They run a very smooth auction. Transactions are seamless and most of the stuff they sell is very collectible. I’m from Florida and visit a lot of auctions and they are better than 90% of the auction houses in Florida. They sell no junk. And the prices they bring are market level. Just because they don’t want to auction your collection of Uncle Bob’s pez dispensers doesn’t mean they warrant a bad review.

Over the course of the last year, I have done much research and have seen that Leland Little sells enormous groups of valuable things and ends up getting far less per item than virtually any other auction house around. It would be highly suggested to any potential consignors to NOT send your collections to them since there are many more auction houses around the country willing to sell items in smaller groups or individually to ensure the most for the sellers.

Leland Little Auctions is the premier auction house in the Triangle. Their website is of exceptional quality, organized thoughtfully, with an abundance of professional photographs and item details. Their expert curators ensure items are of excellent provence. Live auctions are highly enjoyable, and run smoothly even with multiple sources of bids- it's truly impressive to watch. Buyer's premiums are high, but the adage 'you get what you pay for' rings true.
