The epitome of everything wrong with real estate companies. Don't overlook what company is representing the seller...they can equally impact your home buying experience in a negative way. This was our experience with this company. I was told "buyers and sellers back out of agreements all the time" by their office. Background: We had a signed sales agreement and Long and Foster cashed our deposit...sellers backed out because their agent told us one of the sellers "felt pregnant." While this is legal, buyers beware. And of course their office is dragging their feet to return our deposit. My opinion: When shopping for a house and you have a few to look at, put this company's houses at the bottom...or not at all.
