Client Review on MemoryWise

Feedback:

I took the same 1976 400' 8mm reel film to MemoryWise and another company for processing to compare the final results. After talking with several other authoring companies, they did not recommend doing BluRay for 8mm films due to the technology of 8mm. Though MemoryWise agreed with the others, they said it would enhance the final product a little bit. Though not much more in cost, I went with the final BluRay product with MemoryWise and compared it with the DVD version from another company. The final result; another family member and myself found the BluRay version a little better in quality than the other company's DVD (who would not do BluRay / HD file conversion). So going forward, I will have the 1955+ through 1970s 8mm films processed on BluRay disks and have the files saved as High Definition (which creates multi-GB size files for authoring later). I would definitely give MemoryWise the opportunity to transfer your 8mm films to files/files. My assumption would be they also will do a very good job on the other media types also.
