Very customer oriented, professional and helpful. Carol and Yvonne were exceptional when I called with a low water pressure issue. Both times I called, they were able to have someone come immediately to help. Been a customer for 24 years and very happy.

If there is any way you can avoid doing business with this water company please do so. They have a monopoly in my home town and they have definitely abused that power with my property. I was sent a bill quadruple the usual water usage and when I call to have the meter checked, they would not sent out an inspector for 3 weeks. When I asked to talk to a supervisor, none was available. I expressed concern that I could not find a leak and the water pressure was good and that I wanted to eliminate a faulty water reading, they stated it would still take 3 weeks to get the meter checked. I tried to contact the customer service manager via email and she never responded. Finally I was able to talk to a supervisor and he was extremely rude and condescending. He had no empathy for the situation and stated that's your tough luck that the water (on my side of the meter) cost me over 1500.00 All I wanted was the meter to be read in a timely matter and not be responsible for the 21 days it took to get someone to check it out and determine whether the meter had been read properly. They also stated that this has happened in the past and the customer just had to deal with the costs of repairs..."that's life." I will be making my next complaint to the BBB and hope to get the word out that just because you have a monopoly doesn't give you the right to treat your customers like 2nd class citizens. IF you have and option to get your water supplied from someone other that Tidewater Utilities, I highly urge you do so!
