After researching a number of options, we chose Noventri for our digital signage needs. We are a manufacturing company and this was the best way for us to display facts and figures as well as company announcements and weather. What we liked best is that this system can grab data from websites and camera feeds to shove into the display. This worked well for us because we already built HTML pages showing manufacturing info, which we just had to pull in and then add in our powerpoint announcements from HR, safety messages, and weather. Noventri is also able to connect via ODBC which is key for us. I couldn't find other companies that either had this capability or were this easy to use. We opted to get our weather feed from them because the price was right and we didn't have the resources to figure out how to grab data from an RSS feed. By paying for the weather setup, we also were provided with multiple professional slides that we were able to customize to fit our needs. We had this functionality up and running very quickly.Their forum is fantastic. I've received one on one support from their developers for some of my issues, as I ran into a few unique situations or errors. Sometimes I threw out a suggestion from management with how they proposed to use the board, and someone on the Noventri forum responded with a possible solution. I am very impressed with how quickly my issues have been addressed. The software is free and very easy to use. They recently added the capability to play video. Our only cost so far was to pay for the "player" unit to hook into the TV and for the TVs themselves. We started our journey with digital signage on one TV. Since then, we added two more screens on the shop floor. We recently purchased another screen for our cafeteria, and the content is being designed for that display.I get compliments regarding these boards and we will probably increase use of them over time. We will definitely continue to use this product and I highly recommend it to people evaluating digital signage applications.
