Feedback:

The best venue for house and techno music in Vancouver! A splendid time is guaranteed for all

Feedback:

Free water and earplugs. Friendly staff and a clever recycling can lid designed to only allows cans through. Clean sounding system. Backstage/staff smoke inside.

Feedback:

I've been going to Open Studios for years. They have amazing live performances even after a decade of 100s of artists events and installations on the weekends. During the week, it's a film / video studio for corporate and agency projects - the crew for hire are highly recommended!

Feedback:

Just wished the nights could go past 4am, especially when I'm getting my groove on. Great sound system, good DJs and shows roll through, seating in the back if you want to chill and no VIP tables, etc. Let's dance.

Feedback:

Music started well but soon became somewhat monotone. The arena is fine, I like the decor behind the DJ booth. The staff was rather impolite. The woman in the front said they only take cash but I can get cash from the bar if I just pay her and get it. The bar maids looked at me and said "oh that's what they say, we don't talk to each other", and forced me to minimum debit 50$ if I want to use card. I had a really bad feeling. Also their simple drinks cost like fancy ones (13$) even though they are filled with a lot of ice.

Feedback:

I have had really high expectations for this place, heard a lot of good stories about their events. We went to see Eli Escobar and the music was fantastic. However, we have encountered unacceptable behaviour at the bar. The female bartender was attitudinal from the very first minute we have approached the bar, she was rude for no reason and at some point she refused to serve us. We had the felling it was due to us being Polish. We were not drunk or behaved in any manner that would explain her actions. To make it clear the other bartender working just next to this woman was serving us without any issues. Later on in the evening our female friend went to the bar to get a drink for herself and the same bartender we had troubles with refused to serve her saying she was in our “group”. We spoke a couple times to the security asking to notify the manager but nothing was done. On top of that when leaving the club and waiting in line to get my jacket from the cloakroom, my and my girlfriend were aggressively asked by the security guard to show our stamp, insinuating that we were trying to get without paying. Ridiculous, considering the fact that were holding two tickets to the cloakroom in our hands. Security guard was acting in a aggressive manner, again without any reason. The rudest and unprofessional behavior I have ever seen at any club in Vancouver. I felt harassed and abused. Unacceptable, we have never faced such an attitude and we would never expect that to happen in a place that claims to promote respect for everyone, non-discrimination and good vibes for all. Beware of racism and harassment at Open Studios.

Feedback:

Open Studios is a mainstay in the Vancouver electronic music community. Regardless of who's throwing a party there, the attendees are respectful the artistry is emphasized. It's a wholesome escape from the Granville strip.

Feedback:

Good electronic music

Feedback:

I'm definitely not into this type of electro music, cover was expensive and people smoke inside.
