I have been trying to transfer my business lines over to Optimum and they have been making it very difficult for us, to the point that I don't want to transfer anymore.Optimum is a terrible business with poor customer service and poor communication. It boggles my mind how such poorly run companies can remain in business. If you have other options, I would suggest not turning to Optimum.

I had two appointments for install. First they missed by 2 hours & I had to reschedule. Then wait another week for them to be two hours late again. They block out the area too be my only choice. Horrible business

The service and customer service is turning that bad that, for business communicate to a person is taking 23 minutes, charging me 200 and change to 60/25 internet speed, please if you find another company try it.

Warning to all potential business owners who decide to get optimum service. if a previous tenant at the location did not pay their optimum bill , you will have to go through a process in order to prove that you are not in fact the previous tenant. a c.o.o , a business lease, nj business formation letter was not good enough in my case. i had to go stand in line at the local public utility service office and have utilities put in my name also due to the fact that previous tenant had not paid his utility bill either. the only form of id that optimum would accept in the end was a utility bill.

We have had spotty service for about 5 months now. The data stream is not symmetrical only 50megs upstream and they seem to get a lot of DDOS attacks that flood the wan side. SIP trunking is ok but their uptime is horrible on the data side and the cheap cable modem isn't configurable on the customer side. I am looking for a more robust service as I type this. They have no business in this market.

11/13/2017 - Do NOT use Optimum Cablevision Altice for Business Services. We own a small business with 8 lines. They worked for a week but then went dead. Our phones have been offline for 4 days now (two business days). It appears that Optimum did not port the numbers. We have been trying to get the lines ported but no status is available. We have called customer support and Optimum answers quickly but nobody knows what is going on and they have been caught three times telling us incorrect information. They tried to transfer me to the department that does the porting" and that was Altice. Altice gave me 5 options and none were relevant. I selected "0" and it hung up. I called the President's office and went right to voicemail. I called Altice back and went into customer service, the automated system tried to fix the problem by rebooting my system. I've now been on hold with them for 30 minutes.

I own a small NJ business and opened an Optimum Business account with 2 lines and internet (no cable) and my 1st bill was almost $383. Representatives when I called were nasty and unwilling to adjust the bill or find discounts that would bring the bill down (or waive the initial $99 installation fee). I was able to port my number over to Verizon Small Business who offered me the same service for $85 per month (and the 2nd line was free). I cancelled the Optimum service after 20 days of service however they had already billed the account and prorated the next month's charges so they refused to remove them. This company is horrible. Buyer beware! Shop around and compare packages before committing to any company. Optimum is not small business friendly.

I own a small business. They scheduled me for an appointment in the 11-2 window. A Technician called me at 3:13 in the afternoon tell me that he was gonna be at my business in 10 minutes. I called Optimum for and update and they continue to give me the run around. Finally I called at again at 6:30 pm then they tell that they gonna have to reschedule me for another day. What a profesional company they are.
