Wonderful experience! This was my fist time in a recording studio. I appreciate how patience Mike was and I never felt rushed. I believe we got more than our moneys worth. -A. Bezanson

Feedback:

I absolutely love coming to the Opus 4 studios. I have come here annually for many years to record music. Mike is a very professional and friendly person, I thouroughly enjoy every conversation I’ve had with him. Not only that, he has a beautiful and comfortable studio. If you search “opus 4” on YouTube, you’ll see how high quality everything is, from sound to visuals. I highly recommend that you come here!!

Feedback:

My son has recorded on several occasions at this studio. This studio is fully-equipped and state-of-the art. The final products have always been outstanding. Recordings have been used for auditions for conservatories, etc.

Feedback:

Nice owners and very professional studio.

Feedback:

I came there yesterday to record a greeting video for my teacher's 60th anniversary. The video length was supposed to be 5,5 minutes. Everything seemed to be fine but some things were quite unprofessional. 1) Mike started our session with asking what kind of video title I wanted. I said that I did not want any title. Then he said he was not going to charge for it. We spent quite a bit of time doing that. 2) Mike was talking a lot. He was asking me unrelated personal questions. It distracted me and I had a feeling that he wanted to stretch out the time. 3) I inquired to preview the video and he said it was not possible. He tried to do it though and figure it out finally but the time got wasted 4) The Microphone set up took too long. He was going up and down talking about how great the microphone is. We started our recording after 1.5 hours since I came. I was already quite tired to record anything.5) After we were done, he was going to charge me for 4 hours of work. I was little bit shocked to pay 320$ for a 5,5 minute video. (Compare Jack and Straw recording studio price where I recorded the 55 minute length audio CD in 2 hours and paid 120$). After painful arguments and accusations we brought down price to 200$ and I was okay to pay so much. I left exhausted with great dissatisfaction. Next morning I sent him a personal Facebook message. I am copying it below: "Dear Mike, I have some thoughts about our yesterday experience I want to share:I don't think we spend our time efficiently and we could have done the job faster than three hours. Some approaches, I think were unprofessional from your side. You need to ask whether a customer needs a beginning title. If I had an idea that I would be charged for copying/pasting/translating - I would definitely have done it through youtube by myself. You need to have a price list saying what you charging for and what is included in the service. Otherwise I feel confused whether you are charging me for the unnecessary family talks which should be brought down to minimum until the work is done. Don't encourage them. Microphone set up can be done faster, I don't care that there is corrugated metal plate inside or something else. It is just out of context. The "preview material" option should be available, the customers should not pay extra for that. You didn't know how to set it up and delayed time. "You look great" as an answer, sounds silly and unprofessional. Please, give an estimate to a customer. If it's a 6 minute video - tell how long will it take for you to edit it. I am admiring your passion about recording and you have a warm personality but I left disappointed yesterday and it's pretty important to me. I don't think I will come back to your studio or recommend it to anyone".Mike wrote: "Lydia, Your $200.00 check will not be cashed. Good luck to you. - Mike Matesky"Me: "You are refusing to work on the video, as I understand?"Mike:"Refusing? Not quite. I worked on your video until 1 pm. Then again, this morning. Yet, your dissatisfaction has mandated this choice. A final good luck to you."I think my dissatisfaction was not groundless. I wasted my time there.Anyways, I don't recommend you this studio.
