Client Review on Photo

Feedback:

8mm Video Transfer. Filmy was terribly overexposed...couldn't even make out facial features in most scenes. I originally chalked it up to the quality of the original 8mm film since it had been in storage for decades. However, I just happened to still have a working projector so I hooked it up. Lo and behold, the original film was still in pretty good shape; most scenes had a reddish tint, but quality out of a 20-year old projector was tons better than the Photo60 capture. Thankfully, I only gave them 2 rolls as a "test" so I was only out $20. Took the same film to Mr. Video in Springfield and WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!! They ran a test roll for me and the quality was as good or better than viewing through my own projector. Sorry Photo60, I just can't recommend you...suggest you have your technicians actually monitor the film as it's being transferred so you don't overexpose. Giving 2 stars only because the staff was helpful and agreed to waive their standard $40 encoding fee on my 2 test rolls.
