We've used Prolific for years, they have always been trustworthy, very helpful and never had a problem, until now. Took our tower in to see what would need upgraded and if it would be worth it. Got the phone call with the details. I had remembered a small issue with saving files that I then asked if they could look at. He said he would look at that and give me a call back, then I could let him know what we decide about upgrading. We had decided against upgrading since it's not worth it but never got a call. Two weeks go by, I call at 4:37pm to inquire, it was never looked at and the man wanted to argue about what was said. At 5:04pm he calls with no real explanation or diagnosis for the issue so I ask for the cost of service and he again tells me he'll call me back. At 5:13pm he calls with a total of $80 which includes an hour of labor, for a computer that isn't even worth that much! Had I known, I would've saved everything on it beforehand and would tell them just to keep it. Time to look elsewhere for quality service, disappointing.

They told me it would be about a week and $400 dollars and ended up being four weeks for the same price, bad customer service, took a week to even get someone to give me that estimate.

Took my laptop into these guys knowing what needed to be fixed on it. 3 days later, still no fix and they haven't even ordered parts. They lost the end to my universal charger and still charged me $25 for a "diagnostic fee" even though they still have no clue why it isn't working. First time I came in looking for help with my computer I thought it was a fluke, this time shows that it wasn't and I won't be bringing anything back here.

Feedback:

The store offers very little in choices of computers and printers. The store is small, so prices are higher. They only offer a 30 day warranty. Can be rude, don’t bother calling in for trouble shooting, because it’s a horrible experience. I’m in the middle of whether I like them, or dislike them.

Bought a cable that I thought was correct. When I tried to return after 5 days I could not because I did not have a generic bag that it came in. What a weak return policy. Just get it on Amazon.

I've bought two used laptops from them now. The first one was a great laptop and they wanted much less than what similar models cost elsewhere, even online. The second laptop was to replace the first one after it was stolen from my house along with many other things. They not only had another great laptop at a great price, but they cut me an even better deal after hearing about the break-in. Great people, in my opinion (at least the specific employees that I have dealt with, anyway).

I went searching around multiple cities for a cord for an old projector. This was the only place that had it. Great service.
