I will start by saying I have 17 years of customer service experience ranging from restaurant management, retail management, bartending and more. I understand rules and regulations, I also understand all team members should be informed and on the same page. We did our research before choosing St.James Winery for a birthday celebration, made sure we could bring food and have a glass of wine outside etc. There were multiple phone calls and online research. Upon arriving, we were greeted with terrible customer service and conflicting information. You can only have food directly out front and yes we could buy wine and a six pack of beer to enjoy with. This information was given at St.James winery. We also needed to buy plastic cups (we forgot them) which they did not have. They sent us to Brew House next door. At Brew House we were told we're allowed to have wine and draft beer (not a six pack) outside and they gave us cups. After making our purchase at Brew House we left for our table to enjoy our wine and food only to be chased down by an employee to let us know we can't have any open container outside at the concrete tables. You can be in the Brew House patio but you can't bring outside food. So conflicting information all around. All in all the 14 people that were there will never be back or buy St. James wine again. It was very disappointing. I will be leaving the exact same review on St. James Winery and The Brew House.I will leave with this lesson I learned in marketing in high school. A customer who has a good experience is likely to tell one person and then they will tell one person and so on, a customer who has a bad experience is likely to tell three and then they will tell three and so on. What is more important?

When we bought our beer and wine, we were told we could take it outside. They waited until we made our purchase and then once we got outside we were told we couldn’t have it outside. Don’t waste your time with this place

Great Beer! Great Food! Public House Brewing Company is AWESOME. Taylor the Sous Chef was a super great dude who makes an amazing marinara. The Smoked Trout Fritters are a must have item on the menu. Valerie was our fantastic bartender. Super friendly and outgoing and GREAT SERVICE at the bar. This place rocks! Thanks you two, Wayne and Laura from Chicago

A gastro-pub that is missing half the “gastro” and most of the atmosphere. The indoor seating area is insanely inefficient and unwelcoming. The outdoor area is quite gorgeous, apart from the smokers and the dog that tried to attack my 3yo daughter when she walked by too closely on the sidewalk of the back patio. We should have just left there, but we were visiting our family (we are service-members stationed in Japan) and didn’t want to make a scene. Alas, it took 20 minutes to get the (warm) beers we ordered. 5 minutes after I ordered the “deviled egg flight” they came back: “sorry, we’re out”. It wasn’t even very busy, but I said I would take the trout fritters instead. They came back moments later: “out of those, too”. Joke’s on me, because I said to just give me the steak salad I ordered so we could get out of there as fast as possible. Took another 20 minutes to get our food on the not-busy night. It came separately over 5 minutes. My brother-in-law’s order was wrong. All orders came without silverware or napkins or ketchup. Is salad supposed to have a dressing? Oh... pesto is ... the dressing...Would you pay $14 for this salad? (pictured)I wouldn’t come back here if you paid me, which we probably won’t be worrying about since we’re heading back to Japan where service and basic public courtesy (and food-that-brings-people-in-the-door logistics) are second to none.

We were heading back from our vacation and drove an extra 15 minutes out of our way to eat and have some drinks since reviews were good. After waiting over ten minutes after getting our menus and still no drinks or food order taken, we left. If that was any sign of how slow they are, we weren't sticking around. Bartender noticed us getting up and asked if we've been waited on. When we said no he went back to working the bar instead of getting us one of the many servers we saw passing us by. Bob's cafe down the road had great food and fast service!
