Client Review on RDM Pros

Feedback:

I chose RDM Pros to DJ my wedding because I knew the founder and his wife awhile ago. I know that he is a good man and I know he prides himself in doing a good job. My first interactions with RDM Pros was good. They were professional, told me what to expect, and got the extensive forms to me to fill out a matter of moments after speaking with them. I picked out my songs, filled out the forms, and waited for the DJ to contact me. That's where everything really came apart. He did not contact me until I checked up on him by emailing the office (about 2 months before my wedding). Then he would not settle on a meeting time despite my attempts to set one that was convenient for him. Being extremely concerned that he would not be adequately prepared, I reached out to the office again, and he texted me within one day. We were finally able to have a phone conversation where he was absolutely unhelpful and continued to say, "I'll do it however you want it to be done," even though I was asking for his advice about specific parts of the wedding. I did feel better after finally chatting with him (only 2 weeks before the wedding about the time my deposit was due).I was DISMALLY disappointed with his performance at the wedding. He did not connect to the main sound system so that everyone could hear him, inside and outside (a matter of a simple cable that even I own to connect my iPod to my truck). THEN, when it was time for the bridal party to walk in, I had a list of names for him to announce as well as the song I wanted them to be announced to. Not only did he not have the song ready, he simply announced, "The Bridal Party." Then, we had to wait almost a minute for him to find the song we wanted to walk in to. THEN, we had to wait for him to find the song we wanted to do our first dance to that immediately followed our announcement. Don't forget, I had filled out all the papers and was wanting to meet with him so he could be adequately prepared. Also, at the end of the night when we were doing our exit, he had to ask my sister what our last name was (again, information that was on the papers I had filled out). Luckily my guests really didn't care, and in the grand scheme of things, this wasn't the worst thing that could've happened at my wedding, but I was terribly disappointed with him and his lack of professionalism. He wasn't worth even half of what we paid for him. I could've saved almost $1000 and queued up songs on my iPod and it would've gotten me more than he was able to provide.
