This is an excellent, relaxed and friendly venue to explore the sounds you are looking for in your music with professional engineers to help you maximise your potential. Returned this week for our second visit. We wanted our daughter to be professionally recorded so that she can keep track and hear the changes in her performance as she matures, so we spent a day here two years ago and then again on Friday. We couldn't be happier with our experiences.Firstly, we absolutely got we came for - excellent quality recordings that we will treasure. On both occasions the sound engineers were brilliant - last time Tom and this time Rich.Rich is an experienced musician and professional engineer. He supported and encouraged Hannah, making suggestions and advising. He was friendly, encouraging and endlessly patient and never patronising. What more could you ask from someone who will be shut in with you all day listening as you micro-agonise over each note you are not happy with? I have read a couple of negative reviews here and really cannot imagine anyone at Resident Studios being described as arrogant - all the contacts I have had with the staff have been friendly and they have been very accommodating.We have musical friends who warned Hannah before she went to the studio the first time, that recording yourself is a punishing, exhausting and daunting experience. Maybe they went to the wrong studios! We would recomment Resident to any bands or individuals who are looking to record - no matter how good or bad you think you are! This is a friendly space where you can be yourself and take as much or as little time as you want to re-record and adjust your final output.I am sure not many musicians have Mum and Dad squashed into the room with the engineer, but if Rich minded, he certainly didn't show it and we enjoyed listening to his experiences and watching him at work. This time we had studio C, last time the little studio at the front. The small one may be more basic, but both are fine, with the advantage of the smaller one being that we had the door open on a warm day and plenty of fresh air!I have seen other comments about hoovering and tidying....really? This to us looks like a place where musicians come to focus on their music. A laid-back place where you are given the space and peace to concentrate. If it could be improved, I would agree with the car on the drive being moved over a bit, and how about accessible facilities? But these are miniscule things and as a place to record Resident is perfect.We will definitely be back!

Very helpful staff. Managed to arrange my recording very quick, thanks Adam for his great help! And the engineer Greg he found for me did a awesome job for me. I got zero music background came with a iPhone voice recording idea of song. Greg did very great music for my song and we managed to finish recording the whole song at the appointment! I will come again for my second recording! Thumb up!!!

I went into the studio to produce a song I have written. Greg was the engineer and he was absolutely amazing. He understood very quickly what I wanted and came up with incredible ideas. His layering of the music, his musicianship, technical capability and unwavering patience, was second to none. I thought I was going to need two four hour sessions, but it was all done in four hours. I loved being in the studio and I even got the chance to put percussion on the song myself, something I've never done before, so it's really great to know I played a significant part in the production of the song. The quality is amazing and I can't thank Greg enough, I hope to go back into the studio with a vocalist very soon. Thank you Greg for making it an unforgettable experience.
