Sam and his team have been wonderful to my husband and I over the past three years. His team covered both our traditional and white weddings and they did an amazing job capturing the essence of our love. The crispness in their videos is unmatched and the quality in their service is incredible. Sam and his team paid attention to details my husband and I wanted to show in our highlights or documentaries and exceeded our expectations. Their administrators Kayla and Ashley were consistent in their communication with us. Never did we feel ignored or unheard. Doug, our videographer, did an amazing job capturing both of our special moments and managed to make us laugh throughout the day. We were so lucky to have had him. And Julia! Wow… she did a spectacular job providing us with an out of this world highlight. All our friends and family cannot stop raving about how amazing the highlight was. Literally everyone said they could feel the emotion seeping out of the highlight. What we love most about Sam and his entire team is their ability to listen. I’ve been referring clients to Sam for as long as I can remember given his experience and feedback from the dozens of brides and subjects I’ve spoken to. It wasn’t till we hired Sam to do our maternity shoot that we really saw first hand how amazing his talent really is. We were short on time and given the craziness of late term pregnancy we were left doing the shoot at our apt. We had pretty much written off the images since we didn’t think they would come out as expected. Boy were we wrong. Sam has a truly amazing eye for poses and his angles, use of natural light, and most importantly, fantastic personality really made us feel super comfortable. I will continue to recommend Sam and his crew and now that I’ve seen him work his magic first hand I can’t think of any reason why someone wouldn’t want to work with him. Great job Sam!

Sammie and his team were without a doubt one of THE BEST decisions I made while planning my wedding. From the engagement shoot to our entire wedding day, he went above and beyond to get us the best shots possible. When I came to him while planning, I was nervous about the number of guests (300) I was having and how do we document everything. Sammie quickly put my nerves at rest assuring me that was a smaller wedding for him and he was used to large events. He then went beyond my expectations. He and his team truly captured what it was like on that day, all the fun and excitement all wrapped into a photo and video diary I forever want to keep reading. The amount of compliments we have received on our wedding video has not stopped and we are 5 months out from showing it. I truly can't thank them enough for giving me the greatest gift a bride can ask for: beautifully documented memories of the most special day in my heart.

First off I really am not one to write reviews unless someone really impresses me and also this review isn’t even for my own wedding. I went today with my mother to watch her wedding highlights video and WOW, I balled the entire video (again who does that this wasn’t even my wedding). Sam Shots has gone absolutely above and beyond for my mother wedding videos. He gave us 2 extra minutes on our highlights video and an extra 30+ minutes for her documentary video. I can’t even put into words how much this meant to her and our entire family. Thank you so much for commemorating such a beautiful life moment for us. If you want a TALENTED, CARING staff to film your wedding and make all of your family and guests feel like they’re part of your special day, look no further. Sam shots killed it!

Samshots is our go-to photographer and videographer whenever a big life event is coming up. He filmed our engagement, wedding and a few years later, a cake smash photo session for our one-year-old daughter! Not only are Sam and his team professional, they are a ton of fun to work with and their prices are reasonable especially in the saturated DC-area market. They really go above and beyond in capturing the most special, most precious moments and conveying them through stunning and eye-catching photos/videos. I wish I could give Sam and his team more than just 5 stars because they truly deserve it. We hired SamShots to do our wedding photography/video and it was the absolute best decision we could have made. They are a group of amazingly talented, professional, accommodating, genuine, and fun people. We were so impressed with our wedding photos we went back and did maternity photos and newborn family photos with Sam. I will hire Sam and his team for all of my future photography needs without hesitation. They are simply the best of the best!

For our wedding my husband and I were very nontraditional in that we planned a very small backyard wedding, planned everything very last-minute, and had our wedding in the middle of the week. We were thrilled that Sam was willing to take photographs at our wedding with very little notice. He was very accommodating, interacted and worked well with our guests that ranged in age from toddler to senior, and had a lot of fun ideas for photos. I was nervous that Sam would come in with his own set of expectations for how our photos should turn out, but he took our lead and provided a lot of helpful suggestions. Our photos turned out great and our guests still comment, months later, on his impressed they were with Sam.
