Feedback:

Worst internet service provider possible. First of all they over charge for internet. I pay upwards of $130 a month for their lousy 30mbps speeds. For $130 a month at Shentel you can get 300mbps, tv, and home phone. When all you get for $130 a month at Seiontec is lousy internet speeds. Second you don't actually ever get the speeds you pay for. They have been to my house at least 10 times to try and fix the lousy speeds but nothing has worked. Third their customer service is the worst. They take their time fixing problems and getting out to do service. I'm about to file a complaint with the FCC stating how I don't get the speeds I am overpaying for.

When I talk to them they are very professional but I have paid multiple times just to find out that every time I pay it doesn’t go through. I’ve never had this issue with any other company. Also they will say that rain, wind, and any small storm will not effect service and that is completely false. As soon as a storm gets close at all my service is basically unusable. With that said I would stay with them if they could simply get the billing issue resolved. My bill is piling up because they aren’t taking my money and I’m obviously fine with the free service but what I’m worried about is them hurting my credit that I work hard to take care of. If y’all are willing to wipe this past bill out and start from scratch and start accepting my money I will gladly be a paying customer as long as cable is not available in my area. I would appreciate if the reliability of my service was better but if we can just get this billing issue straight I’ll update my review.

Very unprofessional customer service and technical support as well. Stay away from this company. Rude owner, can't fix issues but very expert to dump blame on someone to hide their unprofessional skills.

Less than 1 mbps for months. Every time I've called, they've promised something was currently being upgraded, but speeds have only gotten worse. I'm paying for 25 mbps.

Slow, unreliable service. I have talked with Darrel who runs Seiontec in Lynchburg. He is blaming another company on not installing "fiber" as to why the internet is so slow. The worst part, he can't even give a solid timeline as to when this will be fixed. I personally don't care why the internet is slow, I want it resolved! I am a paying customer, paying for a service (internet) and not receiving it. Don't care to hear your excuses! I would stay away from this company, as they will not take ownership for their slow internet speeds, but rather blame it on others.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I have lived in 4 states this past year and our jobs rely heavily on the internet. This is hands down the WORST ISP I have ever had. Excuse after excuse, week after week as to why their internet doesn’t work. No results, less than 1 megabit when we have been paying for 30.

Further Update: I have had several issues in regards to trees and the crazy amounts of storms. For anyone saying the customer service is bad is absolutely wrong. By now, I’m pretty sure I’m “that guy.” I have been working with Seiontec to resolve the issues and I was able to take care of the tree causing the issues. My box was struck by lightning at some point and the techs were out the first business day. Seiontec has been every bit of amazing in handling the workload they have and still making my issues a priority. You can’t ask for anything more than that. So they definitely deserve a five star rating. Great company providing a need in areas other things are not available!Update: Seiontec came back out to my property and were able to find a direct line of sight. They set me up for a very difficult installation. It involves a tree installation, running the wire to two houses several football fields apart, and trenching the wire under ground. They are doing all of this. That alone should show you the dedication of this small team. They are bringing internet speeds not available to the Amherst County area and even more into the Lynchburg and Bedford areas. Give them a call Original: I am currently trying to get services through Seiontec Systems. I can say, even if I am unable to get service, their communication and customer service gives them a five star rating. Barbara has been great in answering questions, and the survey crew that can put did not just say no, they said they’d talk it out and come back to try and make it work. That alone shows the dedication of the company.

Great local internet service. These guys provide fast, reliable service that delivers over and above Comcast and Verizon. If you have an issue, you can call, someone answers the phone, and they fix the problem!!! It's so refreshing.
