I don't even know where to begin when describing the nightmareish experience my husband and I have had with Since 1987 films. From the beginning, we were sold empty promises and big dreams and not only were they not delivered but we even had to proceed with legal action in order to receive ANY product over a YEAR LATER. Our wedding was June of 2016. We requested that most of our video was reception and family time--We did not NOT want most of our video being the bridal party getting ready like we had seen in other videos. We were promised that this wouldn't be a problem. The day of the wedding was great there were not problems and they were very professional. Our contract stated that we would pay half before the wedding and half a month later and would receive a final product 6-8 weeks later that consisted of 8 hours of raw footage, a completed video that arrived in a gift box and a highlight video. On our honeymoon we got a phone call saying that while our footage was safe their camera was stolen and some footage that they shot before the wedding was missing. Since they stated that nothing from the actual day of the wedding was taken we proceeded as outlined in the contract. 8 weeks came and past then 12 weeks then 16. All the while they promised that they were working on the video and apologized for being so behind. We didn't even receive highlight footage in the meantime. Over 6 months went by of being told that as the only editor, Anthony was very busy and due to the theft of his equipment, some personal problems and the holiday season, he was behind on all of the videos he was working on. Finally we received a video in December--great right?! We still didn't have any raw footage or a highlight video or gift box but atleast we had our video!! Wrong! The video was 7 minutes long and FIVE minutes of it was the bridal party getting ready/the unedited ceremony!!! When we asked why there wasn't any music he stated that he couldn't afford to license the music EVEN THOUGH WE PAID HIM IN FUL MONTHS BEFORE. We'd paid thousands of dollars and got the run around for months for a video that was 2 minutes worth of an actual wedding, substantially shorter than the contract agreed to and was missing every other component of the agreed upon product. Another back and forth ensued for months with our request to deliver what we asked for. We were given the run around for OVER A YEAR with new excuses every week. Anthony frequent attributed the fact that we didn't have any product to his busy schedule, lack of finances and stolen footage. It finally came out that our footage was stolen as well and he didn't have enough footage of anything else to give us what we wanted. Eventually after having to obtain a lawyer and threaten legal action we received our video and raw footage in August of 2017. The raw footage that we were promised would be 8 hours long and continuous footage ended up being short seconds/minute long clips that totaled about a half an hour of footage out of our 8 hour long wedding. The video had a couple of clips added including our dances and speeches which were NEVER EVEN IN the first draft. To say that this has been a horrible nightmare is an understatement. Please please please if you value your money and want to cherish your wedding video stay away form Since 1987 films. We don't have wedding video that we can be proud of and show off to our friends and family and this is due to Anthony and Since 1987 films.
