I interned at Stern PR Marketing last summer. I contacted Susie looking for real world experience in the PR, marketing and advertising industry before deciding if I wanted to pursue a journalism degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Susie took me under her wing and served as my teacher and mentor throughout the summer. She taught me a variety of skills and strategies she utilizes every day at Stern PR Marketing. I got a chance to learn about search engine optimization, social media marketing, photography, and more. Not only did I learn these skills at Stern PR Marketing, Susie also gave me the chance to publish my own work with her help. She guided me through the process of creating advertisements and writing articles for clients. I loved working with Susie last summer; she taught me skills I'm excited to use in my courses and future career and also shared advice with me that she has gathered from her years of experience in the industry!
