I barged in there and tried to get a seat at the bar with no luck. I acted kind of rude. Apparently, though, this place is ORGANIZED. They kindly explained to me how their system worked and found me a seat to enjoy a couple cocktails with my wife on her birthday. Great customer service. The staff is amazing, the cocktails are the business—it’s like hopping into a TARDIS, DeLorean, or whatever time machine you prefer and traveling to the roaring 20s for the best date night you could possibly have.

My husband and I came here on a Sunday night a little late, as it's one of the few restaurants open after 9 on Sundays. We had an excellent experience. The artichoke gratin was awesome, as was the salmon tartare. Service was friendly, if a little busy, but always very professional. They had a great selection of wines and liquors. Highly recommend.

After all the racist march foolishness, we were kinda skeptical. Alley Lights restored our faith with their warm friendly environment, awesome food & drink, and yummy dishes. Definitely a must visit in Charlottesville.

Unique and amazing experience. I was happy I had my anniversary there before a concert. Small venue. Private. Wonderful food and great service. Definitely have plans to go back.

Always five star drinks. Unique cocktails that you are not making at home. Try the tiki in summer! Get a seat at the bar when you can. Ask the bartender about his book "The Imbible"
