When we initially met David and his team at Surge Marketing, our business had fallen behind with the way we marketed to our prospective clients. We’d just won an award and our existing clients were very happy, but our website was dated, we had minimal exposure and we’d taken one eye off marketing to new clients. As we hadn't been marketing heavily, leads started to dry up and we were in need of a major face lift. From the moment we met David, he presented us with several options and strategies and he immediately gave us the belief and confidence that Surge were capable of making things happen for us. He made some recommendations to us and we felt he was the man to help take us forward. There are a lot of people out there who can build websites, design logos and social media experts are everywhere these days, but I wanted someone who we could trust. Surge weren’t the cheapest option out there, but i’m a big believer that you get what you pay for with everything in life and with Surge, we got so much more than we expected in return. We had no hesitation about going ahead with them.We knew we needed a new website as well as guidance with marketing but we also needed a rebrand. Our previous branding was fine and served us well enough, but it wasn’t us. David assured us that he had some ideas that we would really love. We trusted him from the moment we met him and gave him and his team the freedom to create ideas.From the moment we met the team at Surge, everything has ran smoothly. The website design and build process was nice and simple, and whenever we made suggestions for the website or the branding, they were more than happy to listen and at the same time tell us if they felt we were wrong, which is exactly what we wanted from them. They are the experts after all.The response to our new website has been great. The number of enquiries coming through has increased considerably and the whole feel of our website and brand is much more in keeping with us and our personalities.Most importantly, David gave us a priceless piece of advice that no one else did, and that was to go back to doing business the way that we felt was best, not catering 100% for our clients. It goes without saying that client’s needs are important, but as wedding photographers, we’d ended up photographing what our clients were asking for and not what we felt was best. We’d lost our edge and didn’t realise it until David told us. That honest advice is exactly what we needed and it turned our fortunes around last year. We’re now much happier and much more confident creatively. Surge did everything we expected of them to a high standard and exceeded our expectations. The website looks great as does the new branding and our clients have commented on how great it looks, but the expert advice which changed the course of our business was exactly what we wanted from a company and David and his team have excelled at this. We would recommend Surge to any business looking to grow and we would urge anyone to put their trust in David and his team. They know what they’re doing and you’ll never regret taking the steps to work with them.

This is coinciding with legal action. Our product is still in development and 18months behind completion. Aspects of the system and it’s functions are flawed. Clients are aware of this and now questioning the relatability of the system. David Porter keeps putting the work of new projects/new clients before my system already beyond contract delivery. David Porter strong armed me into agreeing additional fees for finishing the system. All aspects of which were already outlined in our business requirements document that was used to quote for the system. I agreed under protest because I couldn’t even think about starting again with another developer at a crucial time when it was in use.The first member of his team built it in code that when he left, their new member of the team said was incorrect and therefore had to rebuild again. Their staff incompetence should not be at my expense.I am 21 months down the line. £15.5K has been paid and the system is flawed with features that remain outstanding. Surge will not release the Full access fTP so that I can ask another developer to finish it. They are holding my business back, they are bringing my business into disrepute and they have cost me £15.5K to date for this pleasure!Now they are holding my business to ransom for a further £3.5K even though it’s not complete and flawed.Also note: some of those positive reviews on here have been made by employees. How many other positive reviews are fake! Think twice!

After many years of debating should we or shouldn’t we, we finally made the decision to push the boat out and build a website. We chose Surge solely on recommendations and we chose well. The staff are great, friendly and very professional. Full of great ideas and ways to promote our charity they were our partners from start to finish. The ideas and guidance they gave us was fantastic and the final product is our amazing website. Tony has trained us on how to carry on building our site and make even better than it is with resources being added weekly. All this is down to you Surge Marketing.
