I absolutely adore this place. The owner is amazing, their products are outstanding, the staff are always knowledgeable and friendly, the store is always clean. If you have yet to visit the Carolina Honey Bee Company you should definitely check it out on your next trip into downtown Travelers Rest. If you’re looking for good, local honey this is the place to go.

After I retired I got interested in bee keeping. Tim, Ashley and Susan, were all very helpful in getting me up and going with my two hives. They are a wealth of information, have everything you need to succeed, and are always available for questions for those of us getting started. I recommend their class; it's a good beginning point. I was really looking to talk with the owners, but the workers were very friendly. I'm new to South Carolina and wanted to talk about possible differences which was disappointing, but the people on hand were great for buying suuplies. Very friendly and went out of their way. Great experience overall.
