Feedback:

We loved our photos and experience with Phil. Phil is fun, professional, accommodating, skilled, and also kept me sane (he somehow kept track of little things like my sun glasses that I kept losing every five minutes). I knew I would be happy booking The Portos based on their portfolio and reviews, but Phil definitely exceeded my expectations. Thank you!

Feedback:

We are so happy to have found The Portos for our wedding and engagement shoot. The juice: they are extremely creativity and are so extremely talented. They know what they are doing! I had friends tell us that they had wished they have hired the Portos for their wedding; and the most critical analysts (Parents) compliment all of The Portos' photos. The photos were beautiful and truly capture the moment, rather than poses and forced moments. And my personal favorite aspect of the Portos? While Phil, Claire, and Brendon were working (all day and night), they never felt like photographers, instead part of the squad and friends. They never took me or my husband away from a moment, instead they captured it naturally. They were professional, communicated with ease, creative, talented, and were one of the bets vendors we worked with. Thank you so much The Portos Team!

Feedback:

Hands down best wedding photography team. Choosing The Portos for our wedding was the easiest and best decision we made! Phil and the team created a timeline for our day, they were so organized and on top of things. Day of, Phil puts his heart and soul into his work and made our day even more memorable. He has his own unique style and exceeded our expectations and ourselves and our friends are completely melting over the pictures! Definitely gunna work on other projects with him in the future!!

Feedback:

We are disappointed with our experience with the Portos. Phil was difficult to work with from the start. In response to our questions, he was often defensive and would tell us to just trust him. We preferred communicating with Angela, who was our photographer. Unfortunately, most of the questions we asked her could only be answered by Phil. On the day of, there were many things that we were not prepared for because neither Phil or Angela had clearly and effectively communicated with us. We were taken out of the moment several times for posed photos during both our ceremony and reception. I’m sure the Portos has done this at other weddings and couples have been happy with it. We just wish they had told us that they were planning to stop us for a kiss as we walked down the isle, and we would have asked them not to. We don’t blame Angela for any of the issues we had. She did a lovely job on the day of our wedding, all things considered. We are happy with how our photos turned out, but wish we could have been treated better.

Feedback:

Working with Phil from The Portos has been a wonderful experience! Phil made it easy to take great pictures. He delivered our wedding photos so quickly and we cannot stop looking at them! He captured the pure joy of the day from start to finish. We would very highly recommended using The Portos! You will not regret it!

Feedback:

In total we spent $7135 with the Portos for photography and video. While they took some great photos, we most definitely had some issues. When the 5 minute video was received we noticed that the back of my mom's head was in the video for one second, the back of my maternal grandma's head was in it for one second, and the groom's father wasn't in it at all. When I told the Porto's that while I liked the style of the video but think it's wrong that immediate family members weren't featured, I got called passive aggressive for both liking it/finding fault and was told to be more clear. I said I didn't appreciate being name-called and was totally okay to be more clear. I then laid out exactly what I thought needed to be done to make sure immediate family was included and was then told: "They couldn't make memories happen" and: "I will try and see if we have footage of these things but it will be done in probably another two weeks. changes like these are changes we will try and make as a favor to you. But it's not something that is required. And this is why I don't like texting because tones come off different. You could very well be asking if this could be done but in text they come off as 'this is what you need to do' and the little time I got to know you, I want to assume positive intent that it is not the way you would be saying it."A month later they sent a slightly edited video in which the groom's father still is not present. They said: "But 1 Can not replace the clip with a scene showcasing the groom's father because the groom didn’t showcase his father at all during his prep. If you look at the photos the father was not there during the groom getting ready nor is he anywhere to be found on the dance floor.  He had someone else help him get ready which usually the father partakes in." The groom's father was present with the other boys while getting ready. This is our first/only wedding and if it's typical for the father to be more active in the getting ready process, he was sitting there ready to go! They just had to say something as my now husband just has no idea of what's normal to do on his wedding day. All-in-all I think they really dropped the ball on making sure to feature immediate family members in the video. I think it's some of the photographers responsibility to make sure certain memories DO happen, they are the wedding pros here not us. If they saw certain things not occurring, they should have spoken up to make sure these memories did end up happening and all of us would have been more than happy to comply. Now when I show our future children our wedding video they will only get a glimpse of my mother and won't see their grandpa at all.Our wedding was two years ago now so I've taken my time to write this review and still feel for the price we paid of $7,000, we did not receive the customer service or product that would reflect the price. If people ask me if I recommend them I tell them about my experience and make sure to let them know I did get some pretty photos out of it but the person-to-person experience ended up unpleasant.

The Porto’s were 100% the Best! We are so happy that we took the leap and hired them! The Porto’s took the time to get to know us as a couple and we’re available at all times to answer questions and ease concerns! On the day of our wedding, Brandon really captured the authentic moments we desired and was so patient through the process. His artist eye for capturing our personalities really showed through in each photo. The Porto’s were also amazing communicators and were always available for all of my wedding worries! I highly recommend them not only because I adore them all but because the quality of their work truly shows. If your not sure who to hire for your Big day? HIRE THE PORTOS! Trust me, you won’t regret it! To Phil, Christa and Brandon, Thank you for being a part of our special day and accommodating our needs!

Feedback:

My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Phil Porto for our wedding and couldn’t have asked for a more memorable experience. Phil’s innate talent at capturing mood and real moments can be seen in each photo. For that, we are forever grateful. Anyone who has seen Phil’s work can immediately identify his skill and artistry, but to see him in action is a totally different experience! Phil is more than a photographer — he helped to coordinate/direct as needed, and he made our entire day run smoothly. Not to mention, he’s got some killer dance moves! It felt as though Phil was a longtime friend, who just made our day that much more special.

Feedback:

The Porto’s are simply Amazing! Where do I even start?! What I want to say about The Porto’s is that, yes every single review hits the nail on the head about how great they are but, they are by far the friendliest people you will meet! When we wanted to book The Porto’s, we met for dinner in Seminole Heights and became friends over dinner. We didn’t think twice about having them be our wedding photographers! However we met a few more times, they helped us get a few engagement photos downtown, without any fuss or hassle. We got to have dinner with our friends again! Our wedding day came and I needed someone to tell me what the heck to do, where to go and when I needed to be there. Thank God Phil was there to push me around (very nicely and professionally, but we’ve got a good enough relationship he knew I needed to be nudged in the right direction)! Phil took amazing photos of us, our friends, our family and anything and everything he thought would make our memories of this day that much more special. Please do not hesitate to call The Porto’s, you will absolutely 100% NOT be upset that you made that call! Phil and Krista were lucky enough to have a beautiful baby boy during our wedding ventures and still were top notch! With all that being said, Phil and Krista THANK YOU!! From the bottom of our hearts, you made our day about US and helped us every step of the way. Your team is awesome and I hope to see you both again very soon!

Feedback:

Even if you’re planning/hoping for a low-key wedding, the process can be unexpectedly taxing. But by far the easiest decision (besides saying “yes”!) was working with Phil. I say work because “hire” sounds so impersonal and aloof, and Phil is anything but. After establishing a connection with us, he went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. From beginning to end, his responsiveness, genuine enthusiasm and joy, and candor were a much-needed respite from planning-related stresses, and even general life stresses: working with someone who sincerely loves what they do, and has such an authentic presence, is unbelievably refreshing and heartening.Oh, Phil’s also an incredible photographer. We’ve legit had multiple people tell us that our photos are the best they’ve ever seen. I knew we would love them, but I can’t even describe how expressive and impactful his images are. Thanks to them (and him), we’re able to look back and remember all of the day’s fleeting moment—it’s like having a ridiculously stunning timeline at our fingertips. We literally couldn’t be happier with the photos, or our experience with Phil and The Portos, and you’ll feel the same way after working with him. (I would almost be willing to bet my dogs on it, but that sounds terrible. But really.)
