Our company had a little bit of a disappointing experience with Rush's commercial leasing division. They do have nice buildings, however their service is a bit lacking. The follow up and communication was not great. Overall they are friendly and do have some beautiful buildings.

I have nothing against the employees of the Rush company who I know are likely just doing their jobs, but I oppose their development philosophy with a fiery passion. For years now, Rush has been buying up historic homes and lovely forested plots and turning them into cookie-cutter boxes of ticky-tacky homes that look garishly out of place on the Gig Harbor peninsula. Many economic forces may be at play, but Rush acts as an unapologetic driving force in turning a quaint, semi-rural locale into the type of yuppy California suburb residents moved here to escape. I often find myself daydreaming up regulations that could be used to foil their current model of development, from mandating a certain yard to square footage ratio to protecting trees when building new homes. I know our community is growing, and I am happy to welcome newcomers and am resigned to new development. However, I am not resigned to a real estate giant that levels forests and builds expensive homes that are neither aesthetically appealing or affordable for middle or working class families.
