Feedback:

Stay away from Wade Linen in Columbus, GA and surrounding area. The worst experience we ever had (and are still having) is with Wade Linen in Columbus, GA. See below the BBB complaint that we filed against them. We also had to have a lawyer write a cease and desist letter to them so that they would either take us to court or leave us alone.BBB Complaint: We agreed to a yearly contract with Wade Linen around August 2015. August 2017, we elected NOT to renew our service. Wade linen claims we owe them $6000-$8000 for terminating the agreement early. His most recent claim is that we owe him 6000 for two floor mats that we already paid for in full (~$115) AND returned, because he cannot resell them.Even if it weren't for the renewal period expiring, every week, for two years, he has not fulfilled his end of the service agreement. We have every invoice we've ever received from them showing that they were delinquent in services promised. This also provides contractual grounds to terminate our agreement with him due to poor service on their part. 1) We have every invoice, from every week, they've ever served us 2) We have witness testimony from employees of Wade Linen who serviced our restaurant where they instructed them to dust off our mats instead of swapping them out, because they didn't have clean ones (we paid for them to be exchanged every week) 3) We have witness testimony from former employees of wade linen stating that they were delinquent weekly. 4) We have witness testimony from former employees of wade linen stating that they did indeed have to make additional stops to our restaurant nearly every week because between 25% - 35% of the linens that were delivered had not been cleaned. Wade Linen has since: 1) Threatened litigation (no problem, this is legal) 2) Hired a collection agency (no problem, this is legal). I actually emailed them everything I mentioned above and they never contacted us again, and they also chose to not act on the collection from Wade Linen. 3) Hired a lawyer to pursue legal action (no problem, this is legal). Same with the lawyer. After we spoke, he stopped working for Wade Linen. 4) Hired a private investigator. While this is not necessarily illegal, the actions of the private investigator and the harassment from Wade Linen as a company are what we would like to stop. The private investigator has threatened to come to our restaurant and investigate our premises. They have threatened to open our cash register and take money out of our cash register to pay back their client. I just got off of the phone with the private investigator, and I made the following comment: "You don't care that legally your client is wrong. You only care that they're paying you to do a job, and you could care less if it's right or wrong legally, you just want to get paid." The PI's answer was, "that is correct". I have called the police and will be waiting tomorrow (when they said they will come to our restaurant to do these things) with a police officer so that they, hopefully don't disrupt our business (he mentioned that he wanted to come when we were busy, so that it could be inconvenient for us). I realize there is nothing that we can do about legal actions taken by the company. Although, in every case where they've hired someone to pursue legal action, after being presented with the evidence from us, they companies have chosen to not pursue it further. However, being harassed by a private investigator by a company, who (if they feel their contract has been violated) SHOULD follow the law and pursue legal action in court should not take place. I'm not sure this is the right place to do this. We're a family owned company. Again, while we don't necessarily want to go through the legal motions (court), as that is the law, we have no problem doing that, and have never filed a complaint (and am not now) about those actions. Our complaint is that this company is deliberately trying to harass us and disrupt our business and we would like it to stop.
