I shared this review on the company’s Facebook page, but I feel more people check with Google so I’m posting it here as well. When I first met with Cory for my July ‘17 wedding he was great to speak to and really wanted to know all the details to make sure the day went smoothly. He made recommendations that I would have never thought of in the process. One thing I did mention was that our ceremony was outside in a green space so would he able to provide his own power? He said it wouldn’t be an issue. So we signed up, made a deposit and all was good. I had mentioned a few times about the external power source because it was very important for the ceremony. Fast forward to a month before the wedding; I again mentioned the power source and was told that it would be an extra cost (more than $100). In June it’s a little late to find some other DJ so I felt I had no choice but to pay to make sure I had music. It felt deceitful to me. Regardless, I paid the extra fee. On the day of the wedding the equipment had a failure because of the sun and the ceremony started late because of it. Not the biggest issue in itself, but it slows down the day when all your guests are waiting in the sun. At the reception all was fine up until the first dance. The DJ started playing the wrong song and we had to yell from the dance floor to switch it. We had given Cory a layout of the songs to be played at specific times so I’m not sure how that could have screwed up. Throughout the night the DJ neglected to play any more slow songs, which was upsetting because it’s our wedding and I would have liked to dance with my new husband more than once. We didn’t write anything like “please play romantic songs at the wedding” in the contract because I thought that would be common sense. That was very upsetting for a day that only happens once in your life. Overall the day was ok when it came to music (the rest of the wedding vendors were wonderful), but I would not recommend Cory and his team to anyone looking for a wedding DJ.
