Eight years later...still the best of the best! We used Steve for our wedding eight years ago, and I went back to him for professional headshot photos! Steve is so down-to-Earth and yet, is such a perfectionist! He really wants to take the best photos and offer them to you in a timely manner! We plan on using Steve for all of our photo needs!

Can't say enough good things about the experience with Steve and Valen. We used them for headshots for my daughter. The day of the shoot everything ran right on schedule. Steve took a ton of shots that looked great, so the toughest part was picking out our favorites. I'll use Valen again next time I have a need, and would recommend them as well.

I met Steve approximately two years ago when I signed up for private photography lessons. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with him and I have learned so much and enhanced my craft. Steve is very reliable, patient, and knowledgeable. He is always willing to go the extra mile to make sure that I understand every facet of the process and it really shows in the photos I am producing.Due to my experience taking classes, Steve was my first choice when I had to update my professional head shots. I completely trusted him and he made me feel totally comfortable and at ease which showed in the photos. I could not be happier with the results! As a bonus, Courtney (who owns the adorable floral design business Trellis) was able to assist me with my hair and makeup and she did a phenomenal job!I cannot recommend Steve strongly enough, and I am looking forward to working with him again!

I have been working with Steve and the studio since 2013. He (and his team) are extremely professional and have a certain "talent" for always capturing the moment. Now I might be somewhat bias because I know Steve, but his voice, his demeanor, the way he carries himself~ It is an art itself. First of all, he values your input on how YOU want YOUR photos to be done. Then he takes that and capitalizes on it using his special eye. He has a way with words that soothes you, makes you feel extremely comfortable, in order to really get the right shot. I can't speak any more highly of such a wonderful man. He always knows how to really make the "pictures worth a thousand words". My boudoir shoot, my outdoor downtown Grayslake wedding, another family wedding, and now my professional headshots... I wouldn't (and couldn't) have imagined choosing anyone else to capture "my moment" with his hands and his remarkable eye.Thanks Steve. <3 Zoe
