stay away from this place the clown who run this circus has no experience of what they are doing, their prices are over priced, and they will try to patronize you making you think that they are building you a house, you are better off hiring a student from the university, I´m amazed how they got overnight 40+ fake reviews when they only had 5 for their supposedly 3 year of experience, and not a single app on their portfolio.

Reading some of the recent reviews on Vog I wanted to post our experience with Vog which was a positive and supportive experience. From our first meeting we were informed about the processes that the Vog team used to develop our app. They were transparent about possible issues with Apple approval after we expressed our concerns regarding the type of app we wanted to develop. Andres was our main contact at Vog but we did meet with other members on their team including developers, the project manager and Vince the owner.Our project was completed in the estimate time we were given but we did make changes that effected our launch time. This was no fault of anyone at Vog as it was decided on our end that some changes were necessary for a better product. There was a cost to the changes which we were made aware of prior to starting our changes. Vog informed us before we signed our original scope of work that anything not in the scope would come at a cost. Of course we wanted to add more features once we realized our business needs changed. Vog was accommodating to work with us quickly to address our change requests.Another positive I think of working with Vog was that they had local developers. We approached a few other companies who claimed to be local but had developers who were located in other countries. In our experience, we got to meet the developers who worked on the project the entire time. We think this had a major impact on our conception of the app through to the delivery we received from Vog since we could meet directly with everyone on the project during our review meetings.The cost to development was a bit higher than other local companies but worth every penny. We talked to several overseas companies that assured a quality product could be developed overseas but we heard too many horror stories to want to gamble our time and money away in order to save a few bucks. Ironically we did discovered a developer who was said to be a local developer with a team located in their Calgary office but instead was getting quotes for our work to an overseas company we also contacted by sheer chance. The overseas company, located in Thailand, knew about our project and informed us that another company from Calgary had already contacted them about the project in detail. We did confirm which company it was. This as a total shock to us but proved that doing your research on several companies is worth the time if you want a company you can trust.A couple of points I hope to pass onto anyone new to app development and looking for an app developer. Do your research and have meetings with the companies you think are the best fit for your project. Vog didn't charge us to meet with them to discuss our project, some other companies did. Know the right questions to ask. We asked about the developers who would be working on our app. We found those same people by name on linkedin and could see they worked for the development company. Other developers made excuses as to why their staff were not around which raised big alarms of us. Ask to see their successful projects and ask why those projects are a success. Ask to see projects that may have similar functions. We found that the most experienced developers we talked to had lots to show us and even some things we did'nt think about. Ask for references but ask to speak to the business owners, CEO's or presidents. Several times we spoke with individuals who only had 1-4 people in the company. A few companies, including Vog, put us in touch with CEO's and presidents of medium and large companies that had work done by that developer. Those references seemed to have more to say about their experience and weren't strictly used as a reference. Find a partnership that works for the longevity of your business and app. Go with your gut. If something doesn't seem right, it probably isn't. In our experience we felt our team and the team at Vog meshed really well. I hope this review helps to those reading it.
