Overall Feedback:

It is a shame that I have to leave a low review for Vortex.The work they did for me started out well, and I will admit that there were come delays at our end due to software problems but this shouldn't have affected the actual delivery of our Magento website.Phase one and part of phase 2 went well enough but then I do not understand what happened but their service went off a cliff and I was ignored for a very long time inbetween emails and felt generally fobbed off with their excuses.In the end I had to threaten legal action to get my website completed and working and what Vortex did was dump a templated website on our server which was not configured or ready to go.It took literally WEEKS / MONTHS of work from us and our new website builder to get the site to a state where we could present it to the public.It is a shame, I liked Vortex at the beginning but as I pressed for the site to be completed, they became the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with.Then towards the end, the emails from Ben O'Brien started coming from a new company (AYKO), I never really understood why this was happening.Also, if they offer to host your website with Corefinity, I would avoid that at all costs, this caused major problems during our build and Navid from Corefinity was worse than Vortex at replying to emails and actually getting anything done.I have since moved to a new developer who couldn't be more professional and I wish this is how Vortex had treated me but they didn't and this review is a result of that.To sum up, I can only say avoid Vortex I'm afraid.In addition, they have staff members posting positive reviews on Google for them !
