I rented a desk 2 yrs and was subject to very clever form of overt racism by Carol and the university of Suffolk every step to not support my buisness and rude radiated comment by other members of people renting the open desk at the studio not black staff or support to black business in Suffolk just mind games and deep radiated hate by a serious form of indirect behaviour by the staff lies and forms to show black that we are still slaves in Ipswich no access to funding by them for black people when start up I went through all form of Anglo Saxon hate indirect and direct by the university and lies that I could not pay the rent when I complained .I would recommend that blacks man stay away from that place asap has it's problematic for us of coloured not blacks on they board or senior staff at the university worse place to study serious radiated staff I have a lot or written evidence against them since 2008 -2018 we need the black community form our own networking funding for business and let the master subject they own race to abuse

I have a lot to thank the Atrium Studios for...since September I've gone from graduate, to volunteer to a full time employee of an exciting creative enterprise. All this is due to the nature of the space, the ethos on which it is run.After finishing my MA in Arts Practice at UCS, I was kindly taken on as a volunteer by the Manger of the space, Carol. I was offered free desk space while I gathered experience working in the Waterfront Gallery and on the East Contemporary Art Collection - meaning I was able to be in the right place at the right time!The way the Atrium works is if you need something or someone then you just ask the other talented folk in the space - there are artists, graphic designers, project managers... and if they don't know they will point you in the direction of someone who will.Luckily for me back in November someone's enquiry was "Does anyone know of someone who might be interested in this job..." BINGO...employment here I come. The transition from being a volunteer in the space to then becoming a full time employee of one of the businesses housed in it was fully supported and is a real success story of how the Atrium Studios works. This is a great resource and I can honestly say Ipswich is lucky to have it! Thank you Carol for making this space what it is!

Having been situated in the Atrium Studios for the past couple of weeks, I have found it a very uplifting place to be. The Atrium Studios is based on campus at UCS and is easily accessible for staff and students alike. Those that work in the Studio office space are very inspiring people. It is the place to be for those wishing to start up a new business, or in need of some inspiration, or even just a cup of tea of coffee!

Since becoming full time freelance in 2014 the next step was always to move into an office space and to work in and around creative people again.The Atrium Studios is in a great location near to the Waterfront and situated within the vibrant UCS community. It’s easy for me to reach from home, space to park and has affordable monthly rent. Everyone is really friendly and within 30mins of moving in I was thinking about how I could use their skills in my business. Plus I love the fact I can grab a real coffee nearby!

We were based at the Atrium Studios for over 2 years and I cannot recommend them highly enough. The services are perfect for a startup business and the sense of community and resulting support are invaluable.We were supported by Carol and her team to get our business started and to build our status in the community. We started an educational meetup which helps us give back to other Suffolk businesses, we couldn't have done that without The Atrium. If you're looking for desk space, this innovative community are a perfect starting place.
