SO grateful to be a patient of Dr. Redd and Red River Health & Wellness in South Jordan! I have shared me story below and hope it will help someone else in the same situation!I have always been a pretty positive person. Always try to have a smile on my face no matter what.. I LOVE being involved in my kids activities.. school & sports! I have a supportive husband who is on the go with owning a new business... SO much going on in my life and SO much fun to be had.. But my health was declining REALLY fast! The last few years in particular have been a roller coaster of many doctors, specialists, medication increases... medication decreases... and even a time when I quit seeking help all together.... I had just come to believe this was my normal and my hope of ever feeling good and functioning at full speed was fading away.. It was changing who I was so drastically that I didn’t even recognize myself... My low thyroid/ Hashimoto’s condition was stealing away that smile I had always been able to have on my face.... and it was scary..End of May of this year I had reached my breaking point physically.. emotionally.. mentally.. physiologically.. everything... with my thyroid condition. While I was still enjoying life, my kids and family... and volunteering doing things that I love.. I was functioning with a struggle that is absolutely indescribable. On my down time I would collapse! Even the smallest task seemed overwhelming.. I had lost all hope of ever feeling healthy and energetic again! I wondered if this was my normal and it made me really sad. I was frustrated and scared and knew that I had to reach out for help. I had seen Dr Redd on tv a couple times before and the things he had talked about and the symptoms his patients had described had really hit home! I knew I had to call and I had faith that this would bring the answers I was searching for!So I made an appointment!! And 3 1/2 months later I have never felt better!! Even more exciting is that this is just the beginning! Dr Redd and his colleagues Dr Anderson and Dr Stadler are meticulous in the way they customize a treatment plan specifically for each individual. They took the time to get to know me and to determine the root cause of my full blown Hashimoto’s thyroid condition. They have thousands and thousands of patients across the country and throughout the world.. yet they made me feel like I was their only patient! That was so reassuring! The blood tests and their analysis of those findings were incredibly in depth.. beyond anything I had ever experienced. It was such a relief to have an understanding of what was going on and a plan to be able to tackle the problem. I was relieved to know that there were things I could address physiologically and through diet and lifestyle change that would help me to feel better! I still have a couple months left in the active part of the program.. We are still finishing up some food testing as well as fine tuning areas to ensure that I’m feeling my best. And of course this is a lifestyle change to stick to daily in order to feel good going forward! But they have taught me to be an expert in my own health! So SO great! I’m an awesome and cooperative patient for sure but they don’t want to have me as a patient forever! haha..They have taught me how to recognize triggers to my condition and how to address things so that I can feel better and manage my health on my own!Today... my headaches are gone! I wake up in the morning optimistic and excited for what the day has in store... I can think clearly and my energy has increased by leaps and bounds! I have lost weight and decreased inflammation throughout my entire body! I feel like myself again! I am so happy that I can enjoy life and be the wife and mom and friend that I want to be! Sure I have days here and there where I feel tired... But I now understand why I was feeling the way I was feeling... the reasons for my decline in health and the steps I need to take to stay healthy for the rest of my life!
