We’ve been working with Xanda for over two years now and are delighted with their services. They created our Portal from scratch working with a simple idea, rough design and colours that we wanted and we loved it from the off. Subsequent developments have been managed successfully by them and our platform has grown so much since launch that we will continue to work with them for the foreseeable future. Excellent web design service. I was over the moon with my website, however I was given no ability to change or revise my plugins which made it impossible for me to optimise my website for SEO. I was told that I was not allowed full admin rights to my own website because of risks to their server . If I wanted to add any extra plugin-ins or optimise my own website then their was a convoluted means of doing so through Xanda, but it made it impossibly slow and impossible for my contractor to do the SEO for my webpage. This was vague in my Terms and conditions. I feel that Xanda tie up the hosting of your website such that you are left with no choice but to use them for your SEO, which is £125 per hour and it was going to cost me around £1k per month which is not justifiable. There are some nice people working for Xanda, but this whole experience has seriously let me down. I had just paid my annual fees when I hit this stumbling block with Xanda and I had no choice but to leave and go with another provider who allowed me to own my site (which i’d paid for). I was not reimbursed my fees from Xanda either. The whole experience has left me with a bitter taste. I appreciate that they have their business model and that they need to make their margins, but this should not be at the expensive of your clients freedom to optimise their business through their own website.
