What should have been an exciting experience ended up being one of the most stressful, over promised and under delivered experiences we have ever had in business! After our initial conversations with the sales person, Ranauq we were feeling confident that we had a company that could identify and visualise what we wanted, an Australian company, understanding, who listened, were skilled to deliver, and would deliver in the time frames, that they set!How wrong on ALL accounts! In fact we ended up finishing the website ourselves! The membership platform was never delivered, even though we paid for and gave them the 2 plugins that were needed! Back and forth for weeks begging them to forget what they were doing as it wasn't working. In the end I was so frustrated and ignored I logged in and set up memberships over night. Yet they dragged our website out for months over trying to get it right!After being promised a live website by a date late in December we organised a launch party. We invited industry leaders, peers and guests of the salon. It was supposed to be to show off the new website and to sign people up onto our new Memberships. We were left nothing short of embarrassed when it still didn't work! Thousands spent on the evening and no membership sign ups...Held ransom by final payment or no website we got to the point where we just paid the remainder of the money so we could lock them out of it! Since then we have had to spend more money on fixing the website. Elements as simple as Back up wouldn't work - files that were massive meant it couldn't back up in time, throwing an error. A normal website size on avg is 3Mb ours is in the 100's. I have had to spend hours and hours resizing images and increasing our storage size (more costs) in order to increase speed and efficiency and just do a back up.Our designer accidentally sent us an email from his main job in India. As this was his 2nd job, we felt we always came second and weren't really listened to, and this explained why. Corrections would take days and possibly weeks to fix, and this became even more difficult towards the end. So many fix ups to be done that were starting to loose track of them. They are based in Australia but then your work is done elsewhere. We found it difficult to contact our web designer due to this aspect. Not only that we were wanting to chose and Australian Company and keep the work locally.We had our branding specialist come on board half way through and thank god she did or I am afraid of what was going to be presented to us. She whipped the designer into line and the design actually came alive finally. We spent over $12K for a theme that was $349 from theme forest and a membership platform with recurring payments that we did ourselves! I m Please be weary, Xugar have re branded since our dealings, but a leopard never changes its spots!
