Nepotism! When the German Managers come to plant, they would remove Americans from certain management jobs and place their friends in these position. There was no rewards based on performance and the Germans always had first pick on vacation day selection. The American staff would work the Christmas holidays while the Germans would be on vacation. The foreign or Ex-Pat workers from European did not think well of Americans. They referred to Americans as lazy. It surprising that that HR manager never address this.
