Feedback:

First off, David and Brenda (and even Tom) are extremely amazing people. We came from the Fox Valley area to check out the place twice (once during Feb or March when snow was still pretty heavy and cabins were closed for the season & twice during July because the cabins were open) for our small wedding location. Brenda was very communicative and very punctual, often getting back to us within a day and answered all questions that we had for her; she made sure that dinnerware and silverware were available for the wedding (and the whole weekend) and kept us well informed of the usage of everything in the lodge. The lodge was AMAZING during recession/photos of the wedding. Even during the day when we took the photos, it's like the lodge glowed with plenty of natural light. And it was even better at night. The upstairs bedroom is surprisingly quiet despite all the karaoke and yelling we did throughout the night; when I asked my guests how they slept despite all the noises we made, they said they did not hear anything at all so I'm glad they were comfortable. All but one of the rooms did not have AC; I didn't even realize until I stepped in on the second night and it was very hot but my guests who had that room never complained so I'm assuming it must've been quite comfortable for them even without it.The cabins weren't so bad, although I did agree with a musty smell for most of them. They just need to be aired out on a daily basis but given that this summer has been very hot and humid, I did generally understand the situation. All the cabins have AC; some have stove top, some have stove top & an oven, and the smaller cabins are pretty basic and comfortable. My guests were very comfortable in there also when I asked them about it.The beach was small but very beautiful. We rented a pontoon but everything else was included. Everyone enjoyed the paddle boat and canoeing and they also loved that there's a locker full of life jackets and toys for kids to play with. The only downfall to the beach is that there are leeches. DON'T PANIC! The leeches are extremely skinny and small (about 1/2 inch in full length) and there's barely any spotted. There will be an occasional 2 or 3 so check from your knees down after getting out from being in the water for a long time.Overall, our experience there was great. The view was beautiful and the lodge & cabins were so amazing. My husband and I couldn't have asked for a better location for our dream Lodge Wedding. Because of this location, my in-laws are definitely into making this a yearly tradition of doing lodging also since most of them are not big fans of camping.

Feedback:

Went there primarily for the golf course. The course was ok to decent but city course style where the fairways were close together but it was taken care of. The service was pretty good. A few of the holes were challenging and the course played pretty good so I would play it again.

Feedback:

Beautiful accommodation and view. Golf course across the street. They have friendly owners, and a nice beach

Don't Stay in Cabin #3Main Lodge - Four StarsCabin # 3 - Two Stars Our large extended family rented the main lodge for a week and my immediate family rented one of the small cabins (#3). I would give the main lodge 4 stars, lots of room and great spaces and amenities to spread out and relax in. Great kitchen, beautiful views, great beach. The lake was fantastic! We loved that we could bring our own boats and the lake is well protected from wind witch meant we had many mornings and evenings with calm, glassy waters for skiing. The down side to the lake is that there are rocks near dock area that are unmarked and our boat took a beating on them. The cabin my family stayed in was a different story. The bed rooms smell musty and the bathroom stank of urine. We found the smoke detector detached and without batteries. The nob controls for the oven were missing making it impossible to adjust the temperature and hard to tell if it was on or off. The dishes and silverware were horribly disorganized, broken and missing pieces. The ratio of Tupperware pieces to a usable pots and pans was probably 8-1. The plumbing and electrical work are best described as sketchy and not up to code. Words to describe this cabin; janky, not well cared for, needs updating. In short this resort has a lot of wonderful potential! But it needs some love.

Loved the cabin we stayed in. Very peaceful and relaxing weekend. We'll be going back again soon.
