Thinking that my computer was done, I contacted "Birmingham Geek" hoping that my data could be retrieved. Upon taking it to the store I again explained what the problem was. Later that day I received a call notifying me that the data was backed up and that there might be hope for the computer. It turns out that the problem was a software issue which they were able to correct. Extremely professional and courteous. I have already recommended them.

The man there said he builds his computers in 30 minutes yet it took him and another man 3 days to install 2 new components. I guess there was a lot of stuff to so after the Holidays plus some of the components weren't cooperating.

A Life Saving Experience. Outstanding ! They turned my tragic computer issue into one of the biggest reliefs of my life. As a former news talk radio personality at 760 WJR, I saved 100s of recordings of The Mitch Albom Show and I wrote and voiced literally 100s of radio & TV commercials. Everything disappeared when I spilt a beverage on the keyboard of my MacBook Pro lap top. It leaked into the hard drive and my documents, photos and most importantly 20 years of my professional voice over work disappeared. My previous voice over recordings are needed in order for me to pursue more voice over work. From the moment I walked through the door I was treated with genuine care and concern for my fear. Their “above and beyond” customer satisfaction and personal interaction is rare to find nowadays and it was refreshing compared to the “just do enough” or the mediocre customer service attitudes of today. They did everything they could to get my files back and they did! What a joy to have a locally owned and operated company like this in our community. I found Computer Geek to be dependable, trustworthy and affordable along with a reasonable turnaround time for my repair. They were passionate when it came to making me happy. With the exception of TripAdvisor, I seldom write reviews and it’s mostly because I have a hard time finding the time, but it was important to me that these guys really deserve to be acknowledged for what they offer which is rare to find these days. I used to work here for a while. During my employment at this company, I learned the most about computers I had ever known. This place is top notch with amazing employees and an honest manager. This place taught me everything in and out about computers. I am now working at a Chrysler subsidiary. Continuing my career as an IT Technician assisting Chrysler technicians with automotive diagnostic software.

I received excellent service! My desk top Apple computer (I-Mac 2009)was sluggish and in need of updates. In April, 2017, Joe at Birmingham Geeks wisely suggested that I back up my files ("My Passport" used as backup) after assessing the computer's vulnerability to failure. Throughout the process, Joe provided daily accounts of progress via email. Following purchase of a new IMac in June, 2017, Joe successfully transferred all my files, remotely set up my printer and advised me of my options for recycling my old computer and data securement on the hard drive. Again, I was given daily updates. The process was seamless and stress free. The personnel at Birmingham Geeks are most accommodating; the client service provided deservesa 5 star rating.

This place is top notch. They fixed my computer faster than I expected. Even took the time to explain what caused my problem. Apparently they have in-home repair as well. If I have any other problems I will only be coming to Birmingham geek for service.

It cost me $40 just to look at my laptop. Then they tell me that they "cannot find the part anywhere". I took it to Southfield and they were able to not only find the part they didn't charge me to have them check out my computer.
