Client Review on ComForCare Home Care (Lower Bucks County, PA)

Feedback:

I cannot believe it has taken me this long to write a review for Comforcare. My grandmother, who sadly did pass away due to Lung Cancer, ended up having some of the best care possible from Comforcare and their amazing team. Ok, I am having a rough time as I type this, but here goes... mommom was overweight and was bed-bound and in hospice at home for SEVEN months, if you can imagine. This means she could NOT get out of bed. She actually needed TWO caregivers a day to help care for her. She also was sent home from the hospital with a catheter- drainage tube from the fluid in her lungs. She needed Oxygen treatments, and she had an open wound from the major surgery she had to stave off a major infection. We had some amazing women and men help mommom that the comforcare team hand-picked. Believe me, I had enough experience with other companies and their quality of staff to know the difference. Scheduling (Thank you Phyllis!!) was also not easy as she had morning shifts and evening shifts along with the overnight caregiver. One thing is that being in bed for 7 months, one could easily develop bed sores, but their team was highly trained and attentive. There was never any issues with bedsores or anything of the sort. Any questions, or issues about anything at all was brought up with anyone at their office and quickly remedied. One of the evening shift ladies, Jody, was extra special and she was just getting her nursing license. Mommom was a special case and I knew this woman stood out from the crowd, and mommom needed someone like this. She was only part time, but I singled her out ( mommom loved her and she loved mommom too) and I asked if she could be " the one" . Somehow they worked their scheduling magic and Jody became our main caregiver. I truly believe that Jody's love and special care enabled mommom to live longer than she would had otherwise, And what I do know for sure is she was HAPPY. If anyone is wondering how someone living through 2 kinds of cancer, in and out of rehab, a nursing home, and almost dying from an infection from a catheter due to negligence...then MAJOR surgery, being in Intensive care for 10 days, finally being sent home on hospice + having to stay in bed not getting up for 7 months could be happy at all? It was my mommom, and I truly believe that Comforcare and all their amazing office staff (Phyllis, Tracey, Johanna, Louis, and Dan) and the amazing team of loving caregivers at Comforcare helped make it so. Thank you thank you. You are forever in my heart.
