We worked with Kevin Balmer and his company Diggable Monkey to document the restoration of the historic Sovereign Hotel project in downtown Portland. Much more than just a series of film interviews, Keven and his crew created a narrative that followed the trajectory of the building’s history and the challenges faced in bringing it back to former glory. They used a combination of high tech time lapse photography, aerial videography, still shots and well-crafted interviews to tell a compelling authentic story. It is as enjoyable to watch as Kevin and his crew were professional to work with.
