Client Review on Your Cincinnati Sign Shop

Digimax Graphics earned this 1 star review. Let's start off with the poor customer service before I get to the ripping me off part. I was told that for a simple job of replacing six vinyl letters off two exterior wooden signs with 10 new vinyl letters would only take 3 days. No big deal, right?I dropped the sign off on August 10. Three days later (when it was supposed to be ready for pick up), I had to approve the proof, to which I inquired about pricing. Shortly after, I received a call from a guy who quoted me $20/sign. He did not send the quote to me in email, honestly, I didn't think that I would need it in writing, since my Landlord advised me to use them, so I agreed to start the work. He then quoted me the same 3 day turnaround time, promised three days earlier. Six days in, sign should be complete - We call to check on the status, the signs were supposed to be completed today. They said that they are not ready... but that they would keep us updated as to the progress...Two weeks in - We HAD to frequently call (because the didn't call us once) to get an update, and the people who answered the phone had no idea about our sign... We finally received word that our landlord needed to pick up our signs to repaint them... they blamed him for the delay because he never picked them up (who knows if they even contacted him regarding the signs... I am starting to see a pattern) Three weeks in, still no signs - On August 31 at 11.54am, 6 MINS BEFORE THEY CLOSED EARLY FOR LABOR DAY, I received an email that my sign is ready for pickup. Really??Nearly Four weeks in for a job that was originally promised in THREE DAYS - We go to pick up the signs... the guy that quoted me $20 over the phone, charged me $22/sign plus tax. He would not honor his verbal estimate and did not give an explanation for the increase. Now, normally I would not be upset over a $4 increase, stuff happens, but with the history of the transaction, outlined above, I felt extremely taken advantage of. Mind you, I could have done this myself as I have a vinyl cutter... It would have taken me 5 minutes to do this.When mentioning all the issues we had with their service, he deflected and blamed every issue on my landlord and did not take any accountability for their poor customer service; no updates, price increase, 10x the quoted time, and sending an email six minutes before closing to pick up the signs. I HIGHLY recommend you search elsewhere. There are MANY other companies with better and more recent reviews than from two years ago.
