I could have the other two services in my area but I chose E-Vergent for its reliability and great technical support. I have been a long standing customer and would recommended this service for anyone that is capable of getting its point to point fixed wireless service. I can’t say enough about this great company. Keep up the great work!

We just joined e-vergent and discontinued service from another broadband carrier from N. Illinois. I liked the company we had before but suddenly one day, we began dealing with very poor VOIP service. After 2 months of struggling (and after exhausting every possible cause) we just could not remedy the issues and decided to try e-vergent. So far... EXCELLENT! We live in the country and depend on "line-of-site" signal reception and we're now lucky to have a transmitting tower within a 1/4 mile of us. The VOIP quality is brilliantly clear and our internet speeds are absolutely steady with no glitches, whatsoever. I'm very happy we made the switch and a BIG thanks to Nick, our installation tech. He was polite, helpful, answered tons of questions and made sure our router was set up correctly to give us the optimal performance we need to handle our VOIP/internet needs.

Been a customer for years because we have no other internet provider in our area and have dealt with too many outages to count. One would think they would find a way to remedy this situation but nothings been done. Then again sure enough another outage. So I attempt to call them and wait 25 minutes on hold just to have them answer and put me on hold again for 10 minutes. Once the employee took me off hold he told me that they're technical support is working today but they are just not out there. And when I asked why he said he had no clue and that the best thing to do would be to wait. WAIT I waited over 30 minutes on the phone to have they're customer service guy to tell me to wait more. Ridiculous. I cannot urge you enough not to use this internet provider. I'm moving soon and it's sad that I am so excited not to have to deal with this company anymore. Where to begin. I guess a list would be the best and easiest way to type this out.- The service is just terrible. I have never had a connection so volatile and awful as the one that I got with e-vergent. Every day, multiple times a day, I play the guessing game of when my internet is just going to go out before reconnecting itself after 2 minutes. It is absolutely ridiculous how often it happens. On top of that, if anyone is on the internet and someone else connects to the same connection, the connection just deads for a few minutes before coming back. It's horrible.- The price I pay for the service is absolutely ludicrous. Not only is paying the amount I do for the service I get just ridiculous, but I'm also paying $90 a month for 25 down. That is absolutely absurd. $90 a month for 100 down is the norm with just about every other ISP in existence. This is a massive reason why I will be switching providers as soon as the other one is available in my area.- The customer service is trash. Not only am I put on hold from anywhere between 20 minutes to 3 hours just to be put on hold again from anywhere between 20 minutes to 3 hours after providing a small bit of info, but I am also lied to about the problems I am facing and the help I would be getting. I had to call multiple times to finally get someone to tell me that their Tier 2 techs, the techs that come out to repair things, didn't work on that day and that the other customer service reps were lying to me that I would be receiving calls from tier 2 reps that day. Just ridiculous. Customer Service from e-vergent is on the same level as comcast, mediacom, and frontier, which is to say that it's abysmal.I guess that about sums it up for now. I absolutely will not be sticking with this provider and will be immediately jumping ship to the new ISP coming to my town in the next few weeks. I have given e-vergent their chance several times and was met with nothing but them flinging their excrement at me. They are easily in the top 3 worst ISP's I have ever dealt with.

I just want to say how thankful I am to have finally found a company that is so polite, professional, and goes above and beyond for their customers! My experience with this company so far has been so awesome! Mike from customer service was very nice and answered all of my questions. Bobby, my technician was absolutely phenomenal! He was so polite, professional, and knew exactly what he was doing! He explained everything and gave me a direct line if I ever have a problem! Who else does that? No one! You guys are amazing!!!

I've been a customer of Evergents for about 5 years now in yorkville. The service is perfect for out here, I ran the 2mb (second cheapest) and have been able to stream Netflix and online games (PS4). I'm going to try the 5mb service due to the occasional lag, or only being able to run SD video. The techs I've met have been professional, courteous, and competent. I recall them replacing equipment due to lightning (static discharge) and equipment upgrades quickly and with no real disruption of service. From my experience, they are a great local internet provider.

Terrible ping spikes and throttling during evening hours and it has dropped out dozens of times during the time we’ve had them. On top of that their rates are ridiculously high. I wouldn’t recommend this ISP unless your only other option is satellite.
